I'd say that Joy is a liberal. The more liberals we have on TV the better.

I've never watched an episode of The View, and never intend to do so. However, I have seen her new show a couple of times on HLN (only on the 9PM west coast repeat: the 6 o'clock hour belongs to Rachel Maddow .) Behar's heart in in the right place; she is entertaining enough, and seems proficient at interviewing other entertainers, but she drops the ball when it comes to political issues - she seems embarrassingly ill-informed, and inept at verbally defending herself against the likes of Ann Coulter. If she can't do her homework, she should stick to interviewing other comedians.

I caught a rerun of her show one Sun night. It's not bad but she overall gets clobbered in the ratings weeknights and places at the bottom of everyone else.

Larry King Live at 9pmET is often the top show on CNN each night, but last night it tied HLN’s Joy Behar for 3rd in the A25-54 demographic, behind FNC and MSNBC. King’s show was 3rd and Behar’s 4th in total viewers.

I love Joy Behar, but her show is boooring. It's a matter of time before it will be off the air unless she changes some things. She is not a great interviewer. Love her on The View, though.
The concept of "let's have coffee while our husbands are at work" mental pedigree attempts to capture the "woman at home watching with intelligence TV demographic" ... hey if I read a headline and can talk about it while telling you what a "beautiful dress you're wearing" ... then I win the time slot ... ugh!

I'd say its more about having a job and paying the mortgage. I'll bet most of those folks were at CNN long before Beck, and were simply assigned to his show. If they were Beck's people, he would have taken them with him. Considering how much Fox pays him, they could have easily absorbed the salaries of a few underlings.
Now, if they could only find a new host for the poor schlubs stuck doing Lou Dobb's show.

(as an aside even Joan Rivers had a talk show way before her Fox one-it was called 'That Show' around the time of the TV Show 'That Girl')
This is hardly a surprise, these people just do what will make them the most money, it's not like any of them beleive half the stuff they put on air - same goes for the people working behind the scenes on his new show - it's just a show to them ... and a pay cheque

I don't work in the environment, so I don't know if it's actually true or not - - but if it is, it would help explain why our political culture is so screwed up. We're being lied to constantly - from all sides. It would really simplify things if everyone would just stop the BS spin and just honestly say what's on their mind. I know I'm living in a dream world.
And health care insurance...
they're called tech's! The don't make programming decisions, the make sure the show runs properly and political affiliation is of no concern, they do their job and to make it to that level of broadcasting they have to do it very well!

People want interviewers they can relate to and they can relate to Joy and Larry.
I was hoping for so much more from her show....still waiting, just not hoping so much.
