Whether it's the Gosselins or your next door neighbors, there is a lot to feel bad about when a marriage ends. I, for one, hope that people cut Kate a little slack.

You are exactly right Kate.... at no time in the history of the world has it been possible to raise 8 healthy, well-adjusted kids on two salaries in America. I guess you are just going to have to continue doing the show that destroyed your kid's lives. Poor thing, you are really trapped.
What a bunch of cold heartless people, no empathy at all, that is what is wrong with people today, it's all about them ,the me attitude. Jon is a child, he wanted and needed a mother, she should be gald he is gone, it would be great to see Kate go through the struggles of a single mother with 8 children, she did the show to help provide for those kids, rather then leave them with sitters and go out to work. Kids are not turning out so well since mother left the home to work Look around!!

They've done some good things with their show.
Why anyone would want to watch you alone is beyond me...but then again i think the audience enjoyed the way you beat down your husband.

It's all still child exploitation if either parent continues this television show - those eight children bought and paid for their parent's fame, lifestyle and 1.3 mansion with their CHILDHOODS.
No children should be in Reality television shows without the SAME PROTECTIONS that their counterparts in scripted shows have - and it needs to be in all 50 states. THAT is the ONLY reason there is no Octomom show, she was dumb enough to have her kids in California WHERE THERE ARE PROTECTIONS for children in entertainment.
All 50 states need the same - otherwise none of this is any different than a modern day Dionne Quintuplet tragedy.
FREE THE GOSSELIN EIGHT!
So right, beejcctx. Neither Kate nor Jon Gosselin would be offered time in the spotlight sans kiddos, had they not exploited their children in the first place. Working those children 40 espisodes a year is what catapulted mere and pere Gosselin into the spotlight - not any innate talents, skills, or even plain old "likeability."
DrMom68 - Agreed, plus they've actually made more television than some sitcoms - they passed the 100th episode mark two years ago - that is ridiculous! Those children deserve their childhood back. Both of these narcissists are also so BLIND to the idea that it is "OK" to just have paid help take care of their brood....
Either way, I am totally behind any national legislation that will stop these horrid reality shows. All children deserve better.
This children deserve:
- Guardian Ad Litems to protect financial interests
- On Set (and yes their house is a set - they had an episode where the STUDIO LIGHTS were being removed) Tutors and Counselors
- Financial Advisors to oversee Trust Funds with Guardian Ad Litem
Basically they need ADULTS who care about them beyond being bags of money and will ensure they have irrevocable trusts for their education. Even the adults on Survivor and other "intense" shows have psychologists at the ready for therapy.
These kids are watching their parents go through a divorce...they need professional therapy. And those parents need to be home not gallivanting to California to cry about how tough things are....they could have done that interview in PA.
I always thought that Kathy Griffin made up these characters
I agree, it's hard to believe Jon and Kate are for real. At least the Kathy Griffin/George Takei skit is entertaining.

As usual it's all about her and the money. So let's all just not watch her anymore. The kids will be better off, and she can sell the Mc Mansion and live like the rest of us.
WOW....looking here at all these comments it amazes me at everyone so quick to judge and hate on a person that you don't really even know on a personal level.....Don't get me wrong, I have watched the show and don't really care for either one of these, BUT I am not going to sit and write such hateful and judgemental comments about a person I have NEVER met.
No one has the right to judge someone and if you are, then maybe you should step back and look at your own life and see if someone is judging you in an area of your life.....take care and be greatful for what you have :)
If you're going to put yourself out in the pubic eye with countless magazine interviews and 40 episodes of a reality show per year - the facts are out there and speak for themselves. Kate Gosselin has invited judgement.

hey.. I am not quick to judge her I've given it a lot of long term thought and reflection and have just concluded without bias over the last two years that I hate her and that I have the right to judge her, it's in part a defense of her children and the media's willingness to use them, my judgment of her is only based on her behavior, I have stepped back looked at my own life and honest say I am qualified to judge her... come on my stats are just better... by the way why are you accusing me of this and passing some sort of value on my beliefs…..
Hate is a very strong word for someone you don't know......why do you let her effect your hate so much? Let her live her life and live with her descisions.....I really can't say that I HATE anyone.....I strongly dislike ppl, BUT no HATE!!!
What ever happens to Kate is not going to impact my life. I wish the media would stop giving Kate and her husband a platform.
