First Posted: 3/18/10   Updated: 5/25/11

The glittering gown worn to the Governor's dinner should have been part of thiis slideshow. Perfection.

eh, when she tries she is typical of any other first lady, not any better or worse. However, there are a few that are really, really bad taste, $540. sneakers, the jean shorts, etc...if any other first lady wore that she would be ridiculed until the end of time.

You are only entitled to an opinion, as long as it matches "their" opinion.

Hi.

I'm just passing through and wanted to let you know I'm still around.

Just been kind of busy.

I'll catch up with you sooner or later.

*smooch*

I gave up on reading the health care bill since that would be a waste of time. Nancy is rewriting it in a private meeting with her corporate cronies. It appears we'll find out what it really says when it is sent to the president, if ever.

Care to elaborate?? Who is "their" ??

Taking this poll, I learned something.. I admire the FL enormously, I think she always looks stunning. But as I tried to rate the individual outfits I realized I didn't care much for most of them, when broken down to specifics. The red sheath was amazing but I never really notice what she is actually wearing. Like a lot of people, I respond to her warmth, her reaching out to others, and her great smile. Actually, the outfits I have preferred were not in this sampling, they tended to be more in the J.Crew or "every woman" category, because that is what I recognize and relate to. Guess I'm just not a style maven. I did note that she keeps her style interesting and fresh, and I always enoy photos of her appearances, but to me, it's the person, not the clothes.

I also learned that I can't type "enjoy" and that I can be sucked into taking stupid polls..lol Can any of us imagine having a poll taken on our wardrobes ? It's a scary thought.. .For quite a while, I have thought the Style editors on huffpo were dropout "communications" students, I feel "punked"

Love her no matter what she wears. IMO she could wear a burlap bag and look good. It's all about what's inside not outside. She is a lovely FLOTUS and a wonderful role model for women of all ages. We are fortunate and blessed that she represents our country to the world.

That red Maria Pinto she wore to meet the Bushes is one of my favorite looks on her. She is such a brick house. Not everyone can do a dress like that justice. Fabolous figure.

Oops! "Fabulous" not "Fabolous".

One question: How can we possibly know she is the first First Lady to wear shorts on Air Force One? The first that we saw, in pictures, disembarking, perhaps, but we have no way of knowing if she was the first. Maybe you need to reword that caption. I do know this, I'm glad she had the self-confidence to rock those shorts in public. She has great legs and an overall great figure, and it's not like they were what you would call "coochie-cutters". All the hoopla over a basic pair of shorts was so overblown, on here and in the mainstream media. Maybe next time she should wear some "coochie-cutters", since she gets grief over nearly everything she wears anyway! LOL!

I didn't see anything particularly wrong for what she wore exiting AF1--except that it was in the wrong context.

The outfit would have been great if she was washing the dog, scrubbing the floors, relaxing on a vacation.

But to wear that wrinkled mess exiting AF1--it's disrespectful to the presidency, her status as First Lady, and the First Family status.

AF1 is an iconic part of the American presidency and symbolizes the elevated status of the highest elected office in our nation.

It would have taken just a few minutes to put on something more appropriate to being seen exiting AF1.
