The elections in NJ and VA were not about Obama. Corzine lost in NJ because of his policies. Deeds in VA was flat out weak and was just a bad choice.
Did that dork actually say the "Klan" won? Wow! No wonder my friends say come here for a laugh. There was an election, and apparently ACORN was gutted enough to not throw the results. Get used to it...
For all those tr0llies flapping about 2010 and the comeuppance coming- the 23rd NY was Rip for 100 years-and now it ain't.
I know our Dems are weak bureaucratic and often compromised but we aren't handing power back to the Rips any time soon-so Rips
get ready for extinction...
Why are my comments not been posted the last five have been deleted is it because I am an Australian? Nothing offensive has been posted.
I would bet you that the group most relieved that the "independent" in District 23 did not win was the mainstream Republican establishment. If he had won, the split in the party would have probably marginalized that party in 2010. In fact it still may because of the close vote which will continue to stir up the teabagger element.
I hope the Democrats see this night as a wake up call. It's not good to see the Klan win, and win they did.
We now need to roll up our sleeves and get to work supporting our senators. The hard work is still ahead. We are the change we been waiting for. Let's go!
I hope President Obama sees the results of yesterday's elections for what they are:
a referendum on the open items in his agenda.
In my view the single biggest mistake from day one was to put Wall Street insiders Larry Summers and Tim Geithner in charge of cleaning up Wall Street. You just don't put the mob in charge of reforming the mob.
This being a Capitalist society, nothing works if the flow of capital is limited to circulating withing a small group of money-hungry individuals, who keep throwing the ball to each other while keeping it out of reach of the rest of us.
Tim Geithner and Larry Summers would do the country - and President Obama - a great service by resigning as soon as possible, so that the agenda of change can proceed as promised.
I'm sure Tim and Larry's families will appreciate them spending more time with them.

I wonder where Palin will aim her blow pipe next? Taking down the tired old elephant with one poisoned filled dart at a time.
Brilliant move rabid right, a Democrat has just one a seat that his party hasn't held since 1860.
I wonder where Palin will aim her blow gun next? Killing the tired old elephant with one poisoned filled dart at a time.

In 2001 the GOP lost the governorships of both NJ and Va right after 9/11 when GWB had 88% approval rating
No political pundits considered the election a repudiation of GWB or the GOP
Buh bye Caribou Barbie
Owens just won NY but you wouldn't know it here at H P where everyone went home early.
sad.
A Riannas heart isn't in this anymore.
or her wallet.
thought i was the only one seeing that and not afraid to speak up.even though my comments disappear each time
i'm sure most people see it clearly. funny to notice how she underestimates her own readers. thanks for the free service, A. We will be moving along too.
What this election shows is that Corzine was so unpopular in his state, he was kicked out.
Second this election shows that Deeds was a terrible choice to run for governor in Virginia. I thought he looked like a rat and would have taken the republican any day.
3rd this election show that Teabaggers are a bunch of blowhards and nocking eliminating local republicans will not be the way to take back the house or the senate.
This election had less to do with Obama and more about finding good quality people to run for positions of power. Until next year Teabaggers.
Pathetic.... Your hatred is too pronounced -
As an American I have an instinctual antipathy towards jacobins like Pelosi and Obama
But go ahead and show your compassion by attacking your fellow citizen.
Exit polls in VA and NJ show the local elections are not linked to President Obama.
But if you wish to continue exercising the same Lilliputian thinking you practiced through the failed Bush years, go ahead at your own peril.
Polls in this case are spin to minimize the loss. The people in VA who supported Obama did not show up. Period. Deeds was too far to the right for progressives who care, and the rest who would have voted sent their message by not showing up.
I was overwhelmed by robocalls and flyers. I've never seen a gubernatorial race with this much get out the vote on either side. It was all Deeds; he's been down in the polls for quite some time and nothing was helping; Obama walked away from him.
Saying this race meant nothing by citing a silly poll that would obviously trend the way it did due to lack of turnout is moronic; the people spoke by not showing up
Youre funny--a lil coocoo for Cocoa Puffs, but funny.
The Dems took back a seat in NY that wasnt a Dem seat in like 100 years.
Palin pulled the Fail Card for Conservatives and the GOP.
Palin, Pawlenty, Beck and Limbaugh humiliated and bloodied. Their guy loses a 100 year Republican seat to a Democrat who didn't stand a chance a week ago. I guess Obama and Biden won one that actually counts whan Congress votes.
The seat has been in Republican hands since 1850 or 1870, either way it makes it 150 years! Just a little more humiliation to smear their faces in.
I seem to recall hearing the Dems say that the Tea Parties meant nothing, that they were just astro turf, etc. Hmmm, they certainly turned out the vote and defeated an incumbent Democrat Govemor in a deep Blue state like NJ. Obama spent a ton of time in NJ campaining for Corzine too and couldn't stop the loss. That has got to be deeply shocking to the Obama campaign. After these loses I'll bet the Blue Dogs run away from Obamacare as fast as they can.
They do mean NOTHING. The turnout in both Virginia and New Jersey is terrible. Even if Hoffman wins the Democrat won the special election in California. No Congressional gains.
Bank,
Corzine had a 38% approval rating last year when Obama won in a landslide. You had better start worrying about Hoffman.
Palin losing seats one tweet at a time, she can become the Twit in Chief for the GOP! Her boy Hoffman lost a seat held by them for 170+ years!
Deeds and Corzine ran poor campaigns. People in those states just didn't care for them. It also doesn't effect me one lick. Democrats got the seats to the US House of Reps. That does effect me, and I'm glad for it. Read into it how ever you like but people in New Jersey and Virginia still like Obama.
