Mr Gore is said to be the first "carbon billionaire". It's a shame that he wants to tax us for the little we use and make scores of money while his carbon footprint is huge. All these guys are the same, do whatever it takes to grab more money and power.

Gore's position on anthropogenic global warming is well known.
It is important to listen to both sides of the story.

So now even Al Gore is backpedaling away from CO2, saying it didn't cause most of the warming after all:
http://worldbbnews.com/2009/11/gores-spiritual-argument-on-climate/

"Gore explored new studies – published only last week – that show methane and black carbon or soot had a far greater impact on global warming than previously thought. Carbon dioxide – while the focus of the politics of climate change – produces around 40% of the actual warming.
Gore acknowledged to Newsweek that the findings could complicate efforts to build a political consensus around the need to limit carbon emissions."

And yet he tells us the science is settled and the debate is over? Why should we believe anything this guy says?

The global warming scam passed by Congress. Goldman Sachs is in the middle of it, as usual– a potential trillion dollar sure thing.

And Former Vice President Al Gore who will profit from the cap-and-trade plan through his company, Generation Investment Management,–
Gore is joined by three former Goldman Sachs heads in their carbon offsets business.

Couldn't have said it better. I'll just add he's hypocritical, lying, crook/profiteer taking financial advantage of an issue he created. But at least he invented something, unlike the internet he claims to have invented.

Hello from Israel!

I love Al Gore and wish him all the success in the world.

I really wish he would discover the root of all our problems - and see a much larger connection than he does at the moment.

Right now he is focused on his issues - connecting global warming to oil - the U.S. economy, etc.

But if he had a wider perspective of what is really happening in the world, he would see that all our problems are completely connected and that we can only fix them at the place where they all connect.

Our future depends on it.

Based upon GDP trends and DJ Averages, W took a robust and SUSTAINABLE economy that was generating INCREASES in tax surpluses, wages, and personal wealth (e.g., home appreciation). While decreasing the national debt and unemployment. There were NO recessions (defined as two (2) CONSECUTIVE quarters of NEGATIVE GDP. Even Forbes magazine listed the Clinton presidency as the best in terms of economic performance since FDR (W was the absolute worst). So what did America want? War and poverty W. Stupid. Too stupid to govern. Had Gore won we would not be a the failed state that we are. Currently, despite a robust growth in GDP of over 3.5% and a significant but small turn-around in the income production sector, common wealth and savings are still declining-- albeit not as fast as under W, and the debt is continuing to rise faster than can be compensated by the production sector (i.e., us worker bees). Very grim, but O did steer us away from a disaster vector. America is way sick. The loonies, unfortunately, have the mike, and had the rudder.
