I became a US citizen this past summer (after 30 yrs in NYC) so this was my first time voting. Corny as it sounds, it felt like a real privilege. Of course there were some glitches but I can say this: if Chad is pregnant this year, it wasn't me! I sent my voter's registration form in the middle of Sept - more than 2 weeks before the deadline of Oct 9 - but I am still not in the books; I was advised by the state electoral board (who actually replies to emails) to do an affidavit ballot (or provisional vote). it's on paper... Still, I walked a little taller when I left the polling station, now I really feel like a US citizen.
