What's Your Reaction?

Big Bird appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" last night to promote "Sesame Street"'s impending 40th season and was adorable as always. He talked to Jimmy about the Street and revealed that Snuffaluffagus isn't a sad guy he just sounds that way, that Michelle Obama was not his favorite first lady, and that he lives in a vacant lot. The most surprising part of the interview? Big Bird was kind of snarky about Google's 40th anniversary tribute.

I met Big Bird when I was 27 (there is only one). I can say this from experience; when you get up next to him, you turn back into a five year old. It can't be helped. He is not "smaller than he looks on tv."

Does Your House Plant MOVE When You Tickle It?
I am now growing what could be Elmos best friend- The TickleMe Plant!
It's a REAL plant that MOVES when you Tickle It! This is NOT a Joke,
The leaves fold right up and even the branches fall down when Tickled.

I found it at http://www.ticklemeplant.com I had to grow it myself, before I became
a TickleMe Plant fan. My Grandkids love this plant too. So, you know what they are
getting for xmas! This is a no green thumb needed grow kit for all ages.

Sesame Street jumped the shark when the adults could see Snuffleupagus. Not to mention Cookie Monster started eating vegetables.

Dear MoveOn member,
$3,578,117!

That's how much progressives pledged this week to fund primary challenges against any Democratic senator who blocks an up-or-down vote on health care reform with a public option.

It's a huge sum, and the clearest signal yet that any Democrat who helps Republicans filibuster health care reform will face an enormous backlash from the grassroots.

Here's another way to make sure conservatives think twice before joining with Republicans: Many of these senators hold coveted committee chairmanships that give them significant power within the Senate.

Our friends at Democracy for America have launched an open letter urging Senate Democrats to strip committee chairmanship from any Democrat who filibusters health care. Will you join in? Clicking below adds your name:

So Big Bird lives in a van down by the river...next to me. They should categorize Sesame Street as a reality show.

A nice job of representing Sesame Street, way to go Big Bird!

The legacy and influence of Jim Henson and Frank Oz continues...

Yes, the late Great Jim Henson, gone way too soon. I remember when I was a little kid, he appeared a few times on the Ed Sullivan show (before Sesame Street). He did a routine with Kermit the Frog sitting on a wall, eating progressively larger and larger inch-worms. The last and biggest inch-worm turned out to be the long nose of a gigantic monster that reared up from behind the wall and ate Kermit.

I also remember fondly good ol' Rowlf the Dog, from the Jimmy Dean Show... Nice avatar.

Um...why the need to mention that Michelle Obama was not his favorite?

If you watch it, he doesn't even say she wasn't his favorite. He gives a pretty non-commital answer.

Exactly. Just wondering why HP felt the need to say that at all.

Seriously. While you're at it, "He talked to Jimmy" should be replaced with "He spoke with Jimmy." Additionally, the three commas in the second sentence should be semicolons, and there needs to be a comma added between "a sad guy" and "he just sounds that way."

This story is brought to you by the letter F.
