Fergie Talks Meaty Weight Gain For 'Nine'

Josh Duhamel may or may not have cheated on his wife Fergie with a stripper, but Fergie remembers the time when her own curves drove him wild: right after she packed on the pounds for her role in 'Nine.'

"When I came home from filming he was excited," she tells Cosmopolitan in the new issue on newsstands November 10. "He enjoys having both: the extra meat to grab when it's there and the tight stomach when that's there...he's never been critical."

A few months ago Fergie told Allure that she Penelope Cruz ate their brains out in order to gain 17 pounds each, ordering "everything fried and full of fat and salty."

'Nine,' out Christmas Day, is a musical about a famous Italian director (Daniel Day Lewis) as he navigates a midlife crisis and sorts through the many women in his life. Fergie plays a whore from his youth. And in real life, she self-identifies as half whore, she tells Cosmo.

"You know, in Italy," she said, "Catholic boys are raised to believe that there are two types of women: the Madonna and the whore. And me? I'm both."

Fergie and Josh had a traditional Catholic wedding in January of this year, after Fergie shed her extra meat.

Why is it that the media insists on calling celebrities by their first or nicknames? Obviously, they make an assumption that the whole world knows who the hell 'Fergie' is. I for one don;t have a clue and it would be nice if just once they would offer some description (mmm justification?), why this woman's sexual preference are news.

I like a woman with 'margins' because it tells me they are not striving for the perfect body, they are happy with themselves and they look healthy. Of course there are limits to the wide look but I appreciate all body types. Give me a woman with a great heart, a laugh in her spirit, love and depth to her person and it matters little what she weighs. BTW Fergie you look great in that picture!

Fergie is hardly "untalented". I saw a screening of Nine and she is very good. In fact you can go on youtube and watch the trailer for Nine- that is her singing. She also was very good at portraying a complex character in a short amount of screen time.

i don't know about her acting skills, but she can sing. sure she's produced some mediocre/bad songs, but she had decent vocal ability. she was singing "Be Italian" in the Nine trailer.
