Seven-Year-Old Jack Witherspoon Raises Money For Cancer -- Through Cooking

First Posted: 3/18/10 Updated: 5/25/11

Eight-year-old Jack Witherspoon has been fighting leukemia since he was two years old. He's spent weeks at a time in the hospital for as long as he can remember. From an early age, he started watching the Food Network all day in the hospital, and got a taste for the culinary.

Now, with his cancer in complete remission, he goes by Chef Jack Witherspoon, and in 2008 he cooked for benefits which raised over $36,000 for children's cancer research.

Jack and his mother, Lisa, are working on a cookbook called Twist It Up the profits of which will all go to leukemia research.
