POLITICO:

Capitol Police arrested nine protesters Thursday morning in the Hart Senate office building as thousands of Tea Party activists descended on the Capitol building to protest the trillion dollar health care bill and government spending.

The gathering was organized by local Tea Party groups around the country, who are arriving in Washington this morning by the busload. Conservative leaders in Congress, led by Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.), have taken to the airwaves to encourage the activists to show up on the Capitol steps and demand meetings with members of Congress...

Interesting article, including the reference to Chick Norris offering to run as President of Texas.

I remember being ashamed of some of the protests in the 60s. Now, here we go again. Do these people have any idea of how these ignorant protests look in other countries. You don't remain a world leader when the world sees people making goofy, silly, unfounded remarks about the president. I wouldn't mind the protests if they stuck to reality. The protesters show their ignorance by throwing around terms they don't understand and then misuse. The world is laughing at you, Tea Baggers. (The tea baggers are a scary comment on the US educational system.)

Funny how THP pulled this headline after they found out the 9 arrested were pro health care protesters.

The 'Politico' article uses the same kind of counting the teabaggers used last time...........they don't know how to multiply, so I don't quite know how they are coming up with numbers that are 3-5 times larger than the actual crowd size.....

I saw that creep Candace Miller - most embarrassing, she is from Michigan! - on the stage with the other wackjobs.
No longer do they deny that this IS the GOP! Great job, teabaggers!!!

This photo of this androgynous human with tea bags on his/her hat says it all. The next time Repugs insist these are everyday Americans riled up, wave this photo and ask if they have people like this in their neighborhoods. I sure haven't seen any in mine. What a beaut!

Is it just me or does the teabaggy lady in the photo that comes with this story remind anyone of that short feature that came at the beginning of Monty Python's Meaning of Life?

Looked like a lot of the tea baggers were a tad overweight. Maybe they fear health reform because they might have to eat healthy, exercise, and limit the Cheetoes. Doesn't one wonder how many of the tea baggers have health insurance or jobs. Or anything but fear and loathing.

Too bad NJ's weight-challenged new Governor didn't join them...could have brought along a few thousand Big Macs for each of these chubbos to chow down on.

Think of how upset Michelle is about the events of the day that stole her time on the evening news.

Change the name from "tea party" to "f*at, s*tupid, losers wearing cheesy, d*umb novelty-store red, white, and blue ties who don't have a plan and just want to protest something for no reason party", and you may get more participation. T*railer t*rash and y*ahoos from miles around actually DID show up for the tea party until the police announced prices had been slashed at a nearby Wal-Mart causing an ensuing stampede in which several people were injured including the loudmouth in pix above with teabags hanging from her hat as well as a couple hundred wide-eyed evangelicals.

These crowds are an exact replica of the crowds that amassed to protest against civil rights during the 60's.

Ha - you're too right on that. They could as well be the EXACT SAME people from those mobs in front of the schools in Mississippi during the days of school integration.........Do they live forever? (only the good die young?) Maybe they don't NEED healthcare. In movies, when someone makes a pact with evil forces, they don't usually need vitamins anymore - is there is something similar going on?

A wonderful video would be juxtaposing the twisted, snarling faces of the evil, wicked haters of back then with their new kin at this rally...little difference between them...

Michelle is clapping her hands with glee, thinking she's stolen the 2012 nomination from Eric Cantor, Mike Huckabee and Sarah Palin at last.
