The 12 Most Offensive Signs From Bachmann's Tea Party

First Posted: 03/18/10 06:12 AM ET   Updated: 05/25/11 03:35 PM ET

Michele Bachmann held a rally on Capitol Hill Thursday to try and "scare" lawmakers into voting against health care reform which drew thousands of protesters. Will it work? Probably not, but at least she got all these interesting signs out of it.

Vote for the worst:

Obama Just Like Mao

Also see the "Kiss Mao Ass" in the background. Because Mao's legacy, apparently, is an opt-out public health care option.

I think the most disturbing sign to be gleaned from the Tea Parties are the protesters apparent inability to breath with their mouths closed.....

Must be a nice thing to know that even when you drop over at a health care protest you can count on the Government to take care of your heart attack when your standing in the crowd of protesters ask the person that suffered the heart attack if they want Government health care?

SPOT ON!! I was surprised the Teabaggers allowed the government doctor to save their lives.
11:07 PM on 11/08/2009
There is plenty of health care without government domination. They could be taken to any emergancy room. Republicans realise this. That's why it's the party of "know". If this were only about health care, and if they could actually deliver, that would be ok. It's about way more than that. It's about power and control. Wait till things you like are banned because it drives uo health care in their mind. Wait until someone you love is rationed. Wait until you are denied because you did something the government doesn't like. Meet me back here in about five years for my "I told you so's".
09:06 AM on 11/09/2009
HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

You're kidding right???

Have you EVER been to the Emergency Room and seen the ridiculous cost????? That's healthcare to you??

You also "joke" about government rationing of care. Dontcha think that's kinda like what the Insurance companies are doing RIGHT NOW------with their denials of coverage, and pre-existing conditions??????

Having thought about this for a while I've come to the conclusion that this type of event is a Repug whining contest where the "winners" will produce a sign that best displays their arrogance, ignorance and total lack of character.

Since over 7,000 have already commented, I don't know that this will add anything new, except that we have to be diligent in pressing for the reforms that we voted for. Evidently none of these people supporting Bachman & the Fox corporation did not have the same insurer as myself, Mid-West Life. Although I was paying in excess of $360 a month for years, when I had an emergency, they discovered fine print that said I was not covered. Surprise! And guess who is one of their featured speakers and "editorial" contributors? Cantor, that's who!! This company recently settled a multi-state lawsuit where they had to pay millions, probably a drop in the bucket for this company who has reserved seats in most of our congressional member's offices. As unpleasant as it is, these people have to be countered, mainly because of their sheer lack of actual information. Ignorance and invective, evidently, can lead you to take the day off and cause you to make a spectacle of yourself in Washington, D.C.

WHAT DO YOU EXPECT FROM A LILY-WHITE, MOSTLY SOUTHERN, MIDDLE-AGED-AND-OLDER RIGHT-WING CROWD? THAT IS THE BASE OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY TODAY -- TOTALLY OUTSIDE THE AMERICAN MAINSTREAM.

You forgot to say "white power!" at the end. Otherwise it was a funny joke, at least it was in Hayden Lake, Idaho, at one time.

I'm for single payer, not Obama's plan--but these pictures are disgusting and hateful.
If they don't agree with the "reform" fine, but this goes beyond exceptable behavior-- they have a sickness--hatred quality.
These pictures make me very sad.

So two wrongs make a right? Death threats or hate signs against any President are wrong, plain and simple.
11:43 PM on 11/07/2009
In my opinion, none of the signs listed even approached the most offensive one. The worst one was the baldly anti-Semitic claim: "Obama takes his orders from the Rothchilds".
01:50 AM on 11/08/2009

They are helping the Republican Senators do the bidding of the insurance companies. Fox News has done a good job convincing them to fight for what is bad for them -- the definition of propaganda.
01:58 AM on 11/08/2009
Propaganda is defind basically as “any systematic, widespread dissemination or promotion of particular ideas, doctrines, practices, etc. to further one's own cause or to damage an opposing one.” While it is true that many of the techniques associated with propaganda are also used in the practice of advertising or public relations, the term propaganda is usually applied to efforts to promote a particular political viewpoint. It can be true as well as false.

Opposition is not designed to help insurence companies, it is designed to ward off more oppressive government. They cannot and will not deliver what they say. They are using your dreams against you. It is about power and control.

You are 100% WRONG ... the word "propaganda" is not applied to efforts to "promote" a political view .... it IS spreading of FALSE information, rumor, to intentionally harm.

You are fooling no one .... everyone on this board - including you - knows that those obstructing the "people's" work and spreading false information, fearmongering & hatemongering is done for the SOLE purpose to benefit the Insurance Industry which is why the entire Teabagger movement is funded by CORPORATIONS .... Corporations who will DIRECTLY PROFIT from status quo.

If your intent is to spread false misleading information & have those reading your false propaganda buy into your rhetoric I suggest you would have more luck if you went to Bech's blog or Limpba//s blog or even Bachmann's blog ...

but .... your false propaganda dog aint gonna hunt here.

I'd love to do a little "jaywalking" around there and ask the people holding those signs what they know about the healthcare bill, Mao Zedong, or the Holocaust. The forces of ignorance are on the march....
02:00 AM on 11/08/2009
I'd like to ask democrats what they actually know about these 2000 plus pages they support blindly.

I am a democrat ... I like the bulk of what's in the 2000 pages ... some I don't like. Glad it passed the House.

As for Mao ... Mao was a great friend to President Nixon & Nixon & all Republicans PRAISED Mao ... in fact, currently there is a statue of Mao in The Nixon Library

The Holocaust - only an uneducated lowlife would try to compare the Holocaust to health care reform
