Hi

Mainstreet:

The newest installment of the Happiness Index has arrived and residents of the midwest will be happy to learn that their strangle-hold on the top spots remains intact. There have been some big moves however. Vermont made a big leap, and New Jersey and Lousiana took serious tumbles. There's also been some movement at the bottom and residents of the Sunshine State may be unhappy to learn that, well, they're the least happy state in the nation, when it comes to money matters.

No more bailouts. No more too big to fail. more effort needs to be done to make work. Instead, unemployment keeps climbing as well as the deficit. Tax cuts and toehr stupid gimmicks aren't the answer.

What conclusions do Florida radical religious people draw from this scourge of unhappiness in their state?

It's spelled Hillbilly, a term refering to rural mountain folks. Please quit insulting the good hillbillies who live in the southern Appalachians - they wouldn't consider Nebraska.

Texas is lame, Florida is lame...

Let me guess. A Bush used to run both of those states?

A Bush didn't run either Texas or Florida?

Crist was AG under Jeb.

I'm in Nebraska and I'm sure not very 'economically happy'. Wages here stink.

With a masters degree and a number of advanced designations, I'm making my lowest actual wage since 1993, and if you include inflation it goes back over 20 years. I'm making here what a person two years out of college would make.

In spite of all of the news about a low unemployment rate, there are very few good job openings. A well skilled friend of mine who is a tax lawyer has been out of work for over a year.

Woo hooo I love job less recoveries..10.2% unemployment and the stock market is up anyway. I'm sure all the millions of unemployed would feel relieved to know the economy is finally growing even if there won;t be any jobs available to them due to outsourcing/insourcing technological efficiency, or greedy employers.

"And The Happiest Place On Earth Is..." [Denmark]

European social democracies beat the pants off of US in happiness!

We talk about "pursuit of happiness" but they've actually GOT IT!
