What's Your Reaction?
Jon Stewart As Glenn Beck

We knew Jon Stewart was a talented comedian, but until last night we didn't know he had missed his true calling: Being Glenn Beck. Yes, the "Daily Show" host spent an entire segment acting like, talking like, crying like, dancing like, and gesticulating like Glenn Beck. He was inspired by the fact that Beck recently had his appendix removed to create the 11/3 project--taking America back to a time before Beck lost his vestigial organ.

"Apparently the medicine that was good enough for our founding fathers is now considered politically or medically incorrect," Stewart said employing both air quotes and crazy voice registers that left the viewer wondering who and what he was quoting. "I'm not saying this is a plot by Hitler to steal Glenn Beck from all of us internal organ by internal organ by internal organ and then reprogram him to use as a weapon. But isn't it fascinating that I'm the only one with the courage to ask these questions?" He proceeded to jump up from his seat and run over to a chalk board that had the human anatomy scrawled on it alongside Che, acorns and the Russian flag. It only got better from there.

OK, that was completely nonsensical . . . yet highly appropriate.

The only difference between this parody and the Glen Beck noise is that John's "theories" are closer to reality than Beck's drivel. LOL.

Nice job to the Daily Show. Nailed it!

And THAT folks, is why John Stewart is in the entertainment biz and NOT in the 'News Broadcast' biz. You could tell some of the audience didn't pick up on it at first, but if you've ever had the severe misfortune of catching the Glenn Beck program this parody was off the charts in terms of accuracy. Props to the brilliant writers and Stewart for pulling it off meticulously.

I can't believe I'm just getting to this. The tears are running down my cheeks. I needed this. Whew, I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. Jon Stewart is a genius. That was priceless. What a way to end the day!

I watched his impersonation, and it was just brilliant. What made it so hilarious was that it was based on the REAL Beck. Jon captures the inner insanity of beck and channels it with perfection.

Nicely don Jon.

Hats off to CC, his writers, and John Stewart for a hillarious look at Glenn Beck's ridiculous rants. I laughed so hard, I spit my coffee out, time to clean up my desk.

To the guy who's comment said Shame on John Stewart, shame on Glenn Beck for ranting his Anti-Obama, Anti-Liberal, Nazism against fellow Americans, because we don't agree with him. The difference between Liberals/Progressives vs Conservatives/Republicans, is that we care about other Americans, we aren't selfish, and realize we must all help one another, no matter what Party affiliations you are with. If that means sharing the cost or the money so be it. We are all Americans.

Amen. I'm proud to be an American. I'm proud to have assisted in electing President Obama. I'm proud to live in a country where Glenn Beck can spout his nonsense and Jon Stewart (and I) can make fun of him til the cows come home.
I'm also grateful for what I have, and I realize that I wouldn't have gotten as far as I have without the back-breaking work done by those before me. Yes, I work in an office. People who make less than me helped to build this office building. I work in the corporate office for a large retail chain. People who make less than me work in the retail stores. Yet we're all part of the same family. We're all Americans, just trying to feed our families and maybe rise above society's expectations.

I hear so much about being proud to be an American, and liberty, and freedom, and founding fathers and such...I just don't get it, though. What's there to be proud of if your liberty is gained only by stepping on the working man all the way up the ladder?
