Obama admin won't sign treaty with the other 156 countries who already have to ban landmines.

Throughout the centuries, no foreign power has been able to "finish the job" in Afghanistan, but President Obama thinks he's a tough enough Commander-in-Chief to do it. He is, of course, WRONG.

Shame on him if he decides so. This escalation combined with the outrageous Wallstreet bailout with the public money will make him comparable or worse than Bush.

We're caught in a catch -22,..... you're dam if you do, ..and you're dam if you don't. Sending more troops is not the answer. Its time for us, to come home now, victory is no where in sight. Mr. President we loss this fight. We have been there over eight years, how much longer...Sir.?

The U.S. ignored the pleas of Germans during the beginning of WWII. Just think of how many could've been spared the cocentration camps had we been there sooner? No other countries in the world are pulling their weight to support any ongoing wars--as if the enemy will never bother them.

A ter*r*ist doesn't differentiate between countries it wants to dominate. So what are we to do with Iraq & Afghan now? We need to pull out of Iraq, period. Shouldn't have been in there in the first place. Afghanistan is another deal. We need the help of other countries to fight the Taliban. We need to bunker b*mb every mountain between Afghan and Pakistan. It's time to stop playing nice.

If these coward countries don't help, the U.S. needs to close its wallet and borders. Don't call us, we'll call you.

And when we will begin to see the numbers reflecting the casualties of peace?

We started seeing them in October. Could it have been by design to force the President to send more troops??

Democrats in the congress, "Stand up and defend the United States Constitution! Democrats in the congress, you own the congress, "You hold the "Purse Strings " and its your duty under the Constitution to "Stop" funding these useless armed conflicts, and put your attention to the welfare of this nation. Which has been missing for a very long time.

Welfare of the Nation?? Since when has Congress done one single thing for anything other than the welfare of their own members??

Apparently you forgot that the Congress ceded its war powers to the unitary executive in 2001.
