Ick. A chance to watch Gwyneth in her most pretentious acting role yet? No thank you.

Two wonderful women but that is not a movie I would even watch on cable for free, so I will just wish them much success, and than ask "Is that the only scripts you are getting these days?" Are the producers running out of themes? Good luck. I sure am glad I don't watch TV or rent movies anymore.

Kidman and Paltrow doing girl-girl action? Why couldn't they do this a decade again when they were both at maximum hotness?

Huh. I would have gone the other way, with Gwynnie playing the transexual.

Gwyneth Paltrow's face looks like a man even when she's not acting.

Yep. This is the kind of "clever" device that they tried in that Richard Gere movie where Sharon Stone was the frumpy, frigid wife and some brab girl was the vixen who stole the husband. Puleeeese.

they have some great transsexual actors.... oh well...would have been nice to use them. Sort of like all the Native American folks that didn't get work back in the day? hmmmm

Heh heh. Excellent point! What about the movies about Southerners where they use Northerners or even British people? Too funny.

And I think they should use only Vulcan actors to play Vulcan parts!

there are some great transsexual actors but remember that the character she is playing looked very feminine and natural, so you need an actor who can look and play the part. Not saying there aren't trans actors who are beautiful and talented, but when you choose an actor for a part, their own personal experiences aren't as important as actual acting talent. So it would be silly to limit your choices by choosing only a trans actor, all should be considered for the part, and they went with an academy award winning actor, so I think its a fantastic choice.

Actually, Felicity Huffman's performance in Transamerica is the Gold Standard for such a role and I doubt it will equaled here, as good as both these actresses are.

ever notice that alot of actresses, who have gone under the knife, come back more masculine looking, with these chiseled chins and , cheek implants.

Hmm. I'd rather they play passionate lesbians, but I guess you take what you're given.
