Taylor Swift Spoofs Kanye, Kate Gosselin On SNL (VIDEO)

Taylor Swift, host of this week's 'Saturday Night Live,' didn't spend much time addressing Kanye West's stage storming incident. She made brief mention in an opening song that included all the topics she doesn't want to talk about.

"You might be expecting me to say something about Kanye and how he ran up on the stage at the VMAs," she sang. "But there's nothing more to say, 'cause everything's OK. I've got security lining the stage."

She also referenced her nasty breakup with Joe Jonas:

"You might think I'd bring up Joe Jonas, that guy who broke up with me on the phone, but I'm not gonna mention him in my monologue. Hey Joe, I'm doing real well. Tonight, I'm hosting SNL but I'm not gonna brag about that in my monologue. La la la. Ha ha ha. La la la."

Later she spoofed Kate Gosselin, complete with reverse mullet, on 'The View.'

Actually, she has sold more albums in the last year than any artist in any genre, so despite the fact that you may not have heard of her, plenty of people have.

I watched SNL since 1975 and I thought Taylor Swift was the best host ever. She was in most of the skits and was the musical guest. She was really funny and had sparkling stage presence. I didn't know much about her before, but now I am a fan. Plus, except for a couple of taped segments, it was LIVE.

first. I though she was funny playing Kate Gosslin, that wig was hilarious.
second, this girl should be thanking Kanye West, because I never heard of this person before and if he hadn't snatched that mic from her, she wouldn't have gotten this much press. I still could care less about her music, but her skit on SNL was funny.

I haven't watched the show yet but my guess is that if Swift didn't totally bomb like Megan Fox did, there's a movie career in her very near future. Her music audience will grow up and move on in a year or two just like it did with the 90s nu metal and boy bands. Swift is tall, willowy, cute, blonde, likeable (and thanks to Kanye West, sympatheti­c), and only 19 years old. Lots of potential there. Plus, America is in the market for a new Sweetheart­.

And their skits are horrible. They are still reading the jokes. The only one who marginally memorized his lines is the guy playing Whoopi and he's funny because??.­.. Because he actually knows his lines so he can focus on delivering them in a funny way.

Kanye West upstaging her at the VMA was the best thing to ever happen to Taylor Swift's career. Before that incident, all I knew about her was that she competed in American Idol (did she win? I don't know because I don't watch that cr@p)
