I tape recorded a conversation of Serratos talking to one of her girlfriends on the phone: "I'm like a total tramp. I love being a tramp but I would never actually, like, publicly admit it. So, this PETA thing is really cool. I can act like a tramp and, like, totally, act offended if someone like calls me on it and say it was only about animals and stuff. I really like the way America is nowadays, you can be a total self-absorbed bimbo and still, like, demand respect and label anyone a misogynist who points out the obvious"

Does this mean I should wear leather belt? Or my leather shoes? I am curious, if our Neanderthal uncles took PETA's advice, we would not be here today discussing this stupid issue on HP.

Your logic is very, very flawed as many, if not most, of our ancestors came from warm climates which didn't require animal skins for warmth (clothing). The Neanderthals were a fairly small minority of European tribes. There were many more humans in Africa and Asia.

PETA goes overboard at times, but someone has to stand up to the extremely cruel factory farming industry and other industries that have absolutely NO concern for animal welfare.

And, modern man doesn't need leather when there are so many other alternatives. This doesn't mean that you can't wear your leather belt or shoes, but it does mean that you should look at the options... if you actually care to.

According to public records from the Virginia Dept of Agriculture and Consumer Services, PETA killed 2,124 pets last year and placed only seven. Since 1998, a total of 21,339 dogs and cats have died at the hands of PETA workers.

In 2003, PETA euthanized over 85 percent of the animals it took in, finding adoptive homes for just 14 percent. By comparison, the Norfolk (Va.) SPCA found homes for 73 percent of its animals and Virginia Beach SPCA adopted out 66 percent.

A 2003 New Yorker profile included PETA top dog Ingrid Newkirk's story of how she became involved in animal rights after a shelter put down stray kittens she brought there. So she went to work for an animal shelter in the 1970s, where, she explained, "I would go to work early, before anyone got there, and I would just kill the animals myself. Because I couldn't stand to let them go through (other workers abusing the animals.) I must have killed a thousand of them, sometimes dozens every day."

Men should not be seen without clothes. It's a bad design all around.

Right on Voxboy! Time to pass a special act of Congress: Christian Serratos is not allowed to wear clothes, anywhere, at any time.

Seriously though, pics of beautiful women stripping for Peta are attention grabbers, but is it possible that they are like some TV commercials that are just so good that you forget what the product was they were advertising?

Reply    Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 01:39 PM on 11/11/2009

Serratos is part of that 1% of the human race that looks better without clothes.
As far as I am concerned, she can go naked for no reason whatsoever...
