Dia Announces Return To Chelsea

When the Dia Art Foundation opened a permanent installation space in Chelsea in 1986, it was one of the only arts groups among the district's warehouses. Now, five years after shuttering its space, Dia has announced plans to return to the neighborhood -- which has blossomed into New York's premiere gallery district -- and construct a new building on land its owns at 545 West 22nd Street.
