On Saturday, the first family made their first trip to Camp David since Labor Day weekend. They spent the night at the weekend retreat--where they have been known to hold talent shows--before returning to the White House on Sunday afternoon. See photos below.

Politico said Flotus approval ratings are down, and that Laura Bush rating remained in the high 80 for 8 years. So Michelle should not been seen and heard just like Laura Bush, for Michelle should know her place, by staying into the kitchen and clean the floor.

I would not expect her ratings to remain as high as Laura Bush's - regardless of what she does. Politico is speculating that it's because she is more traditional than people would like, but I doubt that's the reason. FLOTUS still has two young girls raising and she has to focus her energy on them for the time being.

The First family can't stay locked up in the White House. Every President has spent time at Camp David. And of course he was working. It's good to go to a different venue to clear one's head. This is their choice and their right. I don't know anyone, whether they be rich or of modest means, famous or not, who does not get out of the house for a weekend. It's a normal thing and healthy thing to do.

This First Family takes so many vacations and mini-vacations that it is impossible to keep track. I do wish BO would spend his time working on issues and less time on these junkets. It doesn't set a good example when most Americans can't even begin to think about playing around all weekend at expensive resorts.

Camp David is a RETREAT for Presidents and their families and it is meant to be used. It is a short helicopter trip away from the WH. They deserve to relax given the burdens of the office. So shut up your pie-holoe.

I don't remember seeing Laura Bush going out visiting each Governmental Departments in DCor meeting with children concern about their well being. I haven't seen Mrs. Bush show no compassion in public.....talking about stuck up. I love this FLOTUS she's real.

Obama has already proposed that the girls don't date until age 30. He's just waiting for congress to pass the legislation so he can sign the "Federal Ban on 1st Girls Dating" into law by Thanksgiving this year.
