Murdoch, Limbaugh Make "Worst Persons In The World" On Countdown (VIDEO)

On Countdown Monday, Olbermann awarded the bronze medal for "Worst Persons in the World" to Rush Limbaugh. The conservative radio host made light of the reports that the alleged Fort Hood gunman was harassed by his fellow soldiers for being Muslim. Limbaugh likened it to teasing that he has heard all soldiers endure. Olbermann wonders what Limbaugh could possibly know about being in the military since he received deferments.

Lloyd Blankfein, the CEO of Goldman Sachs, took the silver for calling himself just a banker who's doing "God's work." Part of that work would include handing out gigantic bonuses despite needing taxpayer money to stay in business.

Finally, media mogul Rupert Murdoch brought home the gold for defending his cable news network Fox News by saying Beck "was right" - Obama did make a racist comment.

Rupert Murdoch is just more proof positive America is far behind the times without any idea of where they are going or how they are going to get there.

Murdoch has long been singled out in modern countries as an enemy of democracy as once you let this fox in the hen house he eats up anything good. He does this through his money and did it in America by getting a strangle hold on the media outlets and then proceeded to pollute the country with his lies, fear, hate and bigotry.

I don't really like Keith and I am a liberal. He seems so catty, especially when he goes after women. He bashed Hillary when she was running. Now his favorite commentaries are on Palin and Prajean. His best and worst lists are one in the same - duh. And when he quotes his bad guys he immitates their voices - very annoying. He is like a little kid in his reporting. I have turned him off and started watching Rachel - a much more in-depth and well researched program.

Limbaugh has multiple failed marriages, got off Drug charges with high priced attorneys, a college drop out, and no military service.

He couldn't find a job in this economy with that background.

His radio "schtick" and his opiniated loud mouth rants that people actually believe are the only reason he still has a job.

He just spouts an opinion and when he is found to have lied to his listeners he won't apologize or retract his statements. Who is he to have a comment on most subjects since his background excludes him from any experience on most subjects?

O'Reilly paid for a sexual harrassment suit and has made worse comments but he is still on the air. Olbermann has comedians on his show and his comments aren't any worse than O'Reilly or Limbaugh. Limbaugh told a reporter within the last few weeks to " go sit on a fire hydrant" to make her day.

Murdoch doesn't care about America or anything American except the money he gets as a foreigner running a network pandering propaganda.

I do not understand what was wrong with Limbaugh's comment.
The only "report" of harassment concerning Maj. Hasan has come from his cousin after the fact.

The American Muslim Armed Forces and Veterans Affairs Council reports that they have "not received a single report recently of a U.S. soldier being harassed 'simply because he was Muslim.'"
Further, feedback on this issue from former and currently serving Muslim soldiers has painted a mostly positive picture of the climate of tolerance in the Army.
The Washington Post reports: "Sgt. Fahad Kamal, 26, attended the same Texas mosque as Hasan...he described one occasion during basic training when someone called him a 'terrorist.'
"'I knew he was just kidding, but the drill sergeant overheard him. He made him apologize in front of the entire company' and do push-ups. 'I felt guilty, because I knew he was just joking. But I was also happy to see how seriously they took it.'"

The military has taken more and more steps over the years to better accommodate Muslim soldiers, from setting aside time for prayer to hosting a celebration at the end of Ramadan at the Pentagon last year.
