cnbc.com:

Democrats Barbara Boxer (CA) and John Kerry (MA) moved away from discussing the environmental impacts of climate change -- and the reason, therefore, to take action to reduce carbon emissions -- and focused instead on the economic benefits of a domestic clean energy economy. Meanwhile, Republicans James Inhofe (OK) and Lamar Alexander (TN) complained that energy bills would rise and Americans would lose jobs.

Here we go with more global warming hysteria. Tamminen says "In New York itself, $400 million was just spent to upgrade pumps that remove rising waters out of subways." This is so bogus. It's not climate change that makes water seep into a hole in the ground.

We're going to get soaked nonetheless. The CBO estimates of the cost of Cap and Trade don't take all factors into account.

Being concerned about the greatest catastrophe, global warming, that homo sapiens has ever faced is nt hysteria, it is rational fear.

It will be interesting to see what the stance of the global-warming and anthropogenic-global-warming skeptics morphs into as the evidence against their postures becomes ever more overwhelming and irrefutable. What will their excuses be? Will they simply skulk underground and pretend that they never supported their absurd positions? Will they refute their losing position to the end, like Monty Python's the Black Knight? 'Tis but a scatch, eh?

What "evidence against their postures?' You didn't find any in Tamminen's piece, did you?

I hope their reactions include a deep sense of shame at having tried to slow progress in dealing with global warming.

Oklahoma's not drowning New York. With the big government tax policies currently in effect New York is drowning New York.

Why drown New York? Look at all of the bankers that would be gone, theft in this country would drop by 50%!
