The Hill:

A brash, young political newcomer is causing a fuss in GOP circles in the race against Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Fla.).

And what else would you expect in a district that has produced the most colorful member of Congress?

Google this guy. The article doesn't provide information. One of the comments:
This article is as pointless as writing a review on a restaurant with out discussing the cuisine served.

"Gutierrez is a real estate developer from South Florida who moved north to the Orlando area in advance of his campaign."

So the teabaggers are running another carpetbagger. We should just start calling them a catch-all phrase, like 'baggers. That way we both the tea- and carpet- are implied.

Stay the Course, 'baggers!

More holes in this story than Sarah Palin's resume. Since the only concrete description of Gutierrez is his youth, and Cuban heritage, I guess we can assume that is the GOP's objection towards their own candidate.

We need more politicians like Grayson. He is in touch with the people, who are fed up with the liars, unlike the GOP politicians, who are in touch with the Fox Channel pundits.

And well they should be. concerned.
Sorta like a parallel sarah-universe kinda guy. I'll bet someone in the party had thought of him as the latino vote deal-maker. since they alienated so many. But his gooper-style endless pit of a moneybag will hold him back. I can't see him going head to anything with Grayson. And if we think Grayson's a loose cannon, this guy seems like a loose screw and a rich manchild who needs his political clock cleaned. I don't know whether to be excited at the prospect or laugh myself silly.
A realtor bailing out after that big ole bubble he benefitted from and headin' to disney now wants to pick more pockets and pretend to represent the Latinos. Jeb Bush’s son George P. endorses him. Well ain't that a feather in yer cap!

He certainly has that "genetic defect" look so common among cons. His eyes and lips give it away.. His behaviors also indicate he is not normal.

He's known as a seller/profiteer of swamp land. But for a GOP candidate he's more qualified than a Bush.

I live in Rep. Grayson's district and happily cast my vote for him last November, the first progressive Democrat to hold this seat in years. Mr. Gutierrez is simply another south Florida hotshot with lots of family money and political views forged in the right wing Cuban exile community, particularly that portion of the community that treated Elian Gonzalez like he was the grand prize in a lottery drawing. He knows absolutely nothing about central Florida or the issues in this district, but he hopes to capitalize on his aggressive style and the changing demographics in this area marked by a substantial increase in the number of Hispanic voters over the last ten years. There is no doubt in my mind that he will have a lot of money and he should not be taken for granted.

Horrible article. Other than saying Gutierrez is "pissing off" everyone, the post doesn't explain what he does that is so annoying. Neither his age, ethnicity nor connections are poor as far as the GOP's concerned. But the complete article never says what's causing the concern.
