BeautifulPeople.com: Brits Are Ugliest In The World

British people are among the ugliest in the world according to elitist dating website BeautifulPeople.com. Interested applicants submit their photos and are rated based on looks to determine whether they can join the site. Since Beautiful People went live worldwide last month, it has rejected 1.8 million people from 190 countries. Talk about high standards! But the British have perhaps suffered the most rejection, according to Reuters:

Fewer than one in eight British men and just three in 20 women who have applied to BeautifulPeople.com have been accepted, an emailed statement from the website showed.

Swedish men and Norwegian women have the top admittance rates.

Beautiful People managing director Greg Hodge claims Brits have just let themselves go:

"Next to Brazilian and Scandinavian beauties, British people just aren't as toned or glamorous."

And it becomes a feedback loop. If its chock full of Norwegians from the beginning I'm willing to bet thats who they are going to choose the most.

It says that the members decided who get on and Norwegians get selected the most.
Well who chose the first members? And were they of Norwegian descent.
Its like a circular argument. Its biased towards the taste of whoever selected the first candidates.

I looked at the site and its very hard to navigate & doesnt seem to function that well.- on my PC anyway. Just wanted to see what the fuss was about. One point I"d like to make though, not all beautiful people are dull or thick. I went to a friend"s 21st party and she is beautiful & inteligent - she"s at universit. Another friend I was at college with and she"s beautiful & has great personality. but most of the time B ppl. are shallow & hrd to talk to. I actualy applied just for an experiment & got rejected on 1st attempt even though I was supposed to be hansome, maybe I"m too old. There were some efnic minorities applying but dont know if the were accepted.

I cannot believe the audacity of this website! I have only one thing to say to these people: Have fun getting old, because once you get there, your personality, or lack thereof, and extreme lack of intelligence are going to leave you lonely and depressed!

Well, all I can say is you shouldn't even go to the site unless you like those in the same IQ range as your indoor plants. If they can't tell the difference between "beheld" and "beholden," they can be as beautiful as all get-out, and I still won't pay more than a dime for a dozen of 'em.

Well, of course. Hardly surprising. Any Asian faces, and I mean Asian as in Indian, Japanese, Pakistani, Chinese, Sri Lankan, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Bangladeshi?

I'm willing to bet it's not in the least bit ethnically diverse. Personally, I'd rather have someone who knows who to do my taxes, balance our joint accounts, and draw up an investment strategy. Stuff you don't have to learn if you're "beautiful" enough because there isn't enough room in your brain for that AND how to make yourself even MORE marketable to fellow maroons.

Wow, how shallow can you get? Well at least people looking to date intelligent and interesting others can check this site and discard anyone that has signed up. So it does have some redeeming value.

Good point! Besides, you can only tolerate arm- or eye-candy for so long before the desperate need for an emotional connection (that's *not* centered around *them*) or an intellectual conversation overtakes you.
