CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - The University of Virginia's Miller Center of Public Affairs will record an oral history of President George W. Bush's presidency.

The center and the George W. Bush Foundation announced the project Thursday.

About 100 interviews are planned, including key figures of the Bush White House and Cabinet, members of Congress, foreign leaders and outside political advisers.

Bush says the project will offer a comprehensive look at what it was like to lead the country during what he described as extraordinary challenges.

The center's Presidential Oral History Program has conducted similar projects on presidents Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton.

Watch LIVE VIDEO of the announcement below.

Bush should start a charitable foundation with AMERICA as the beneficiary. Isn't that was the guilty do to make restitution for their crimes?

So let's get this straight - Shrub is starting this "foundation" to give an oral history of his presidency. Who gets to be a part of it? 100 handpicked whitewashers to make sure that his revisionist history is spread far and wide. I am the only one who sees this as being blatantly partisan? And why would the U of V have anything to do with it, anyway?

"The University of Virginia's Miller Center of Public Affairs will record an oral history of President George W. Bush's presidency." Upon completion, the University will celebrate the former President by awarding him an honorary Master of Anguish Linguage degree.

I saw a picture of Bush and just had to come. It's funny to watch the libs slobber and drool all over themselves, just to get off as many potshots as they can. For being such an enlightened people, you are so trapped by your anger, you can't even see straight.

"Oh well Bush did this, and Bush did that." It doesn't matter what philanthropic or good thing is being done by him- you are so arrested with your hatred that it has become your own poison.

Such a pathetic mob mentality here. I guess I am no better since I am the voyeur here.

wxw101:

I feel the strength of your emotion in your post; however, you are totally ignorant of why people hate him. He earned our passionate hatred by lying us into a war based on greed and a hidden agenda; he abrogated the Constitution by warantless wiretapping; he committed treason (an impeachable offense) in the Valerie Plame affair; he lied about the Pat Tillman 'friendly fire' incident; he ran capitalism into the ditch; he ruined our moral standing in the world; he and his buddies made millions of $ off the precious blood of our soldiers in a useless and immoral war. The only philanthropic thing he did was make money for the rich. It was a hatred he earned. If we are blinded by hatred, then you are blinded by your ignorance. Bush was the Worst President in history and Cheney was the worst VP, both together in tandem. They were both pathological liars and did everything wrong. Name one thing he did that was not designed to make money or boost his power. I bet you can't. 75% of the country, including me, felt hatred and disgust for this corrupt, deranged, lying simpleton. So, too all you Obama haters - it is time you felt what we did for the last years.

He increased funding for AIDS research in both treatment and finding a cure to unprecendented levels. Since the LG community pretty much mocked and derided him every step of the way, it would have been easy to pull funds from this and divert them into any special project.

The truth is like it has always been - we see what we want to see. The hate you see in Bush, is the hate that is brewing on the other side. People can argue on either side which hatred is stronger, but in my eyes it is ignorance.

I don't agree with everything GW did, but he was a man of heart, which most of you refuse to see because of how blind you have become or were at day 1. If I took the same view as most here, then I would see O as a muslim who wants to bring our country to the brink of destruction. Neither is true - our political ideologies and priorities are different, but the group posting on here, is the same group of hate in my opinion as the ridiculous KKK. Thats right folks - I called you as ignorant as the KKK.
