Joe Torre: Kate Hudson "Relaxing" A-Rod

Kate Hudson is "relaxing" Alex Rodriguez, according to A-Rod's former manager. In an interview with "Extra," ex-Yankee skipper Joe Torre was asked if he thought Hudson, whom the Yankee third baseman began seeing earlier this year, had helped Rodriguez have a better season. "Somebody's relaxing him, that's all I can say," Torre replied with a smirk, "because he certainly looked like he enjoyed himself this year." Becoming more serious, Torre added, "I know how important baseball is to him. So whatever the reason, it seems to be working."

I want the Steinbrenner family to sign Kate Hudson to a 5 year contract to stay in a relationship with Arod. They should include a 'no-trade' and 'a no-break-up' clause with incentives based upon Arod's performance(on the field of course). It would be the first of its kind in sports. She would get own Worl Series ring and a reality show on the YES network.

I've heard it called "relieving tension," but that's a reasonable application of the word "relaxing," I suppose.

As in "I wish Kate would "relax" me now and then."
