What's Your Reaction?
King Prejean

Larry King has responded to his controversial interview with Carrie Prejean, telling "Entertainment Tonight" that he did no wrong.

King told "ET" that he "didn't understand it all" when Prejean call him "inappropriate," removed her microphone and threatened to walk off his show Wednesday night.

"I won't even dignify it," he said. "I didn't ask anything wrong. I didn't know what was inappropriate. I'm doing my job."

Donald Trump agrees. The Miss Universe owner told HLN's "Showbiz Tonight" that he as surprised by Prejean's reaction.

"'Inappropriate' is more of a sexual term, as far as I'm concerned," Trump told "Showbiz Tonight" in an interview to air Thursday. "I mean -- inappropriate? He asked a very, very easy question and I was surprised that she just didn't say, 'Hey, listen, I can't answer that question.' Instead she wants to walk off the stage? It was very surprising."

"Anyway, life goes on," King said.

The interview airs on Thursday's "Entertainment Tonight."

Ironically, her sister Christina is a fan of Larry King.

Larry did stumble in his response to here---for an old pro---he sure did seem unsure of himself---I would have not allowed this woman to get away with it--had I had her on if I were King---it is something that they did book her---as far as I am concerned--this nearly burnt out 25 watt ligthbulb that is Carrie Prejean---should not be afforded the attention she garners--to me she is a vile person--we have enough of these sorts putting in their two cents in our "national discussion."

To think that our valiant young men and women are fighting, getting maimed or dying in Iraq and Afghanistan to make the world safe for the likes of a Carrie Prejean to become a celebrity--to me--that is the purest definition of "obscenity!!"

Why would someone like Larry King interview this girl in the first place. I can't recall ever having seen a beauty queen being interviewed on a news channel in my country. What's so special about this girl, or am I missing something? :(

Larry has no respect for conservative guests. His retirement is long overdue.

If want to call Carrie Prejean an archetypal conservative guest, then go for it.

She has obviously been coached by Sarah Palin on how to deal with negative publicity.

Step 1: Make it seem that you are a good sport who is willing to put themselves in the hot seat.

Step 2: Answer only the questions you want to answer, even if they haven't been asked.

Step 3: Go on the offensive if the questions persist, arguing that it is the interviewer who is inappropriate here.

Step 4: Threaten to walk, but don't actually do it; you need the camera time.

I watched the interview. SHE was inappropriately rude. I was pretty stunned that she would be so obviously snotty, rude, and just stupid.

shes a beauty school drop out, like palin. fake, lies, rude and acts like a princess

Larry did his job and was completely appropriate. He was respectful and calm. She was obviously being coached by someone. It looked pre planned

her 15 mins should be up . . .

It seems her book "still standing" was highly-mispelled. It should be "walking away" as she did on Mr. L. King this week. Now we saw her true colors and the real intentions of her alibi

Updates: http://bit.ly/carrie-prejean-worst-alibis-for-her-bf

oups, she look like a fully grown 20 year old woman there with her BF.

so who's lying now?..

I watched that interview and when Larry King asked Carrie
questions about the litigation, she said she didn't want to discuss it,
BUT...being the typical Larry King, who likes to dig until he gets
someone to answer his "nosey" questions, he kept prodding her for an answer even after she said it was private.

So, now he acts like he didn't do anything wrong, but then he should
acknowledge that he kept digging at her to give an answer about the settlement of her situation.
Why didn't he go onto something else instead of dwelling on that issue just because she didn't tell him everything he wanted to know.

Actually, he did keep digging, asking if the motivation of the settlement was covered by it, not an unreasonable follow question. When she kept answering he was being inappropriate, he went to callers. It was while going to callers, no more questions from him, that she took the mic off. Re-watch it.

What was inappropriate was giving the obviously brain challenged Carrie Prejean yet another nationally televised interview.

The young woman has accomplished nothing of note in her life and clearly has "issues," that need to be addressed outside the forum of the Larry King Live Show.

She chose the word inappropriate because of it's sexual overtones; she, however, has admitted to distributing self made child pornography, because she believes it makes her less culpable of sin that owning up to the fact that she has got some really bizarre sexual issues.

Anyone who really believes themselves to be a Christian will not buy her book. I hope it is remaindered a month after it's publication. I mourn all the trees that died giving her a voice.

Why bothered interviewing her in the first place? Is she really someone so important or does anyone get on tv so easily nowadays? The girl was in a pagent and nothing more. She could be nude with 10 people who cares? Giving people like her a platform discredits a show placing them along side the rest of the tabloid nonsense.

I would never have interview her if I had a show. There are so many wonderful people out there who deserve a voice but I guess you have to be dumb, dyed blonde with a nude video to get some media respect. King should have told her to leave when she disrespected him. He could have done a show with the callers ending her cheap career.

Because people would watch, that's why he interviewed her. And, surprisingly for him, he seems to have taken the high road by not hitting back at her lunacy.

I clicked, thinking he had come back and defended her. Headline is misleading.
