Some sharks are viviparous. In fact the unborn babies tend to eat each other sometimes!

Actually most sharks give birth to live young. Read something aside from the tabloids you twit.

Life imitates Breaking Dawn.

Even the sharks are obsessed with Twilight.

DENMARK's SHAME...THERE IS NO CRUELER BEAST THAN MAN!

This brutality happens every year, Dantesque, bloody slaughter in the Faroe Islands, which belongs to Denmark .A country supposedly 'civilized' and a EUROPEAN UNION country. For many people this cruel practice is unknown, how insensitive! This bloody slaughter is just to attend Moz to 'show' entering adulthood! It's absolutely incredible that nobody dares to do something to prevent this barbaric act that is committed against Calderon, an intelligent dolphin who has the peculiarity of approaching people out of sheer curiosity.

On a group of islands just north of Europe , the traditional bloody whale and dolphin slaughter takes place every year. The Faroe Islands are a part of Denmark , where whaling is banned, but they have laws that are independent of Denmark 's laws, so they are allowed to continue with this mass execution. Year after year, thousands of pilot whales, beaked whales and dolphins are chased into the bay by boats, where they are slaughtered.Metal hooks are driven into the stranded mammals' blowholes before their spines are cut. The animals slowly bleed to death. Whole families are slaughtered, and some whales swim around in their family members' blood for hours. Whales and dolphins are highly intelligent creatures and feel pain and fear every bit as much as we do. Forward this to everyone, PLEASE.

The Japanese have a famous dolphin harvest as well. They pen thousands of them in harbors and shoot some so that the others won't attempt to escape. Then they hook them up out of the water and cut their throats. Which basically amounts to cutting off about half of their heads. And then the dolphins bleed out, which can take a half hour. I've seen the video and it's not something I'll ever forget. Absolutely horrifying. I wish there was a way to stop it.

And on a lighter note. The accent reminded me of Flight of the Conchords, lol.

Predation is not pretty, nor is it evil. If they consume the flesh of their prey, it is part of the circle of life. Have you ever seen a big cat take down a gazelle? It's not nice, but the kitty must eat. I'm not giving this act a thumbs up. Furthermore, it could be far more efficient and lots less messy.

Rituals, by definition, are not part of the natural order. They are are artificial, even in the extremely rare cases that animals participate in them. What was described is a ritual, not part of the circle of life, regardless of outcome.

Man is part of nature just as any other living being is.

That simply is not true. Nature is derived from the latin "Natura", which means "essential qualities, innate disposition". Human beings have long, LONG moved past out essential qualities and our innate dispositions. Our lives are based almost entirely on cultural and a refusal of our natural instincts, many of which you will serve serious prison time for acting on.
