Annie Lennox
Lennox was presented The 2009 Woman Of Peace award by former Nobel Peace Prize winner Mikhail Gorbachev.

Sweet dreams are made of these: Annie Lennox was lauded by Nobel Peace Laureates at the 10th World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates in Berlin, Look To The Stars reported.

Lennox was chosen as the 2009 Woman Of Peace by 22 Nobel Peace Laureates for her SING campaign, which raises awareness of HIV/AIDS and its impact on women and children, especially in South Africa.

SING enlisted 23 internationally acclaimed female vocalists to record "Sing," which Lennox wrote to be used as an anthem of unity and empowerment for the AIDS awareness movement. All the proceeds from the SING campaign go to projects that fight HIV in South America. Since 2003, SING has raised raised $2 million dollars for HIV testing, education and prevention programs.
