Ashlee Simpson Defends Jessica's Weight, Looks Forward To Getting Curvier

Jessica Ashlee

Joe Simpson isn't the only family member who can praise Jessica's body. Her sister Ashlee speaks out against critics in the December issue of Women's Health.

"It's disgusting that people would say those things," she told Women's Health magazine. "My sister has an incredible body. I feel sorry for anyone who would judge her, because she's one sexy lady."

Last month Fox aired, and later apologized for, a cartoon skit in which animated versions of the Dallas Cowboys mocked Jessica's weight. "Man, I still can't believe Tony dated Jessica Simpson, even after she blew up bigger than Flozell Adams!" said a cartoon Marion Barber.

Ashlee, who gave birth to son Bronx Mowgli almost a year ago, keeps in shape with several 30-to 40-minute workouts a week, but claims she's not worried about losing her lean look--and neither is husband Pete Wentz.

"There's going to be a time when I'm way curvier, and that'll be sexy, too," she said. "Pete isn't worried about stretch marks. He always makes me feel good."

Meanwhile, curvier Jessica is working hard to get in shape. She tweeted on Wednesday at her longtime personal trainer who whipped her into top shape for 'Dukes of Hazzard': "@madfit (mike alexander) why am i still hurting from our workout earlier? I'm getting old! See you tomorrow with a pouty face and sore buns."

Thursday post-workout she was hurting again and tweeted this picture of her icing her knees:
"@madfit look at what age can do to a total badass :( At least my legs will look good!"

Is this really news? The body changes folks, it goes up and it goes down, that is a part of nature. It happens and people and the media need to get the hell over it. Nobody has a perfect body. Nobody. People are not meant to be sticks, they are meant to be as they are. yes, be healthy, but that does not mean people must be anorexic to be considered beautiful. Screw those who are so shallow they can only see outer beauty. You must be a sad lot of people. jessica looks fine, nothing wrong with her shape. Give the woman and every other woman with curves a break, get a life and move on.

So she went from a size zero to what a 6 or an 8? Hardly a fat person.

Jessica actually looks better with extra weight on her because she has a solid musculature to build on and she is so pretty and vivacious that the more of her the better.

Few actresses in the history of Hollywood (maybe Hillary Swank and Demi Moore) have ever been in the kind of physical shape she was in the Dukes movie. Even she said it was unsustainable to always look like that.

If their father had not so vigorously whored them out, would we even know who these girls are? Would we care? I am all for celebrities with talent, but I am thoroughly tired of celebrities who are famous for being celebrities and nothing more of substance.

I appreciate all the guys on here praising the "curvier" women. But I have to take it with a grain of salt, because if you thought Megan Fox or Angelina would give you the time of day... Let's just say I think your opinions about women's bodies would change in a second. Thanks for the thought though!

I'd be hard pressed to come up with the name of a young female celebrity these days who wouldn't look a darned sight *more attractive* with an extra ten pounds on her.

Personally, I think the air brushed, stick thin, emaciate, skin on bones caricature that many people see as the preferable norm is a sad example of what beauty is supposed to be in our culture. A curvy, healthy woman that doesn't look like she'd eat an ally cat raw as soon as the papparazzi turn their backs is a more normal representative of a beauty in my book.
