Lou Dobbs To Fox News For Bill O'Reilly Interview

Lou Dobbs is heading to Fox News — but not for what you might think.

Dobbs, whose announcement Wednesday that he is leaving CNN set off speculation that he's joining Fox News or Fox Business, will sit down with Bill O'Reilly for an interview Monday night, Daily Finance's Jeff Bercovici reports.

In July, O'Reilly defended Dobbs's right to free speech, and Dobbs almost appeared on "The Factor."

The New York Times reported in October that the Fox Business Network was eying Dobbs for a potential position.

When Dobbs announced that he was leaving CNN Wednesday, a Fox News spokesperson said "We have not had any discussions with Lou Dobbs for Fox News or Fox Business."

I feel a new show in the making. O'Really and Dubbs together and they call it senility factor. Kinda Ted Baxter and Gabby Hays views on everything. Two old guys just babbling about stuff nobody cares about with guests that nobody really cares what they think like Hamity, Malken the fish lady, and Colter counter watched by people who can understand what they are sayng. Another Fox hit for the tea bagger nation.

So, why all the guessing and suspense? Will he or won't he go to Fox? It is as plain as the nose on your face isn't it? You guessed it. Follow the money. As soon as Fox offers him enough he will go. Easy. Anybody care to guess how much? I figure it will have to be 50 million. It has to be, after all, more than Limbaugh because Dobbs has "gravitas." There is one other possibilit­y--politic­al. He might want to run for President in 2012.

Lou is too free thinking for Fox. I'd be VERY surprised if they would give him the kind of leeway he had on CNN, given how Fox is so corporate centered...and at least half of Lou's central message is lambasting corporate corruption. I don't see it working. I'd rather see him on MSNBC, to be honest.

The surprise was that it took so long for CNN to realize just how much damage Dobbs was doing them.
Dobbs and O'Reilly? It's either going to be a love-fest or a real clash of egos. Either way, I'm not interested enough to watch it.

More importantly, CNN will be looking to recapture some of it's credibility. Who will they choose?
