The rumored and much-hyped tablet computer from Apple could lay waste to the markets for countless other gadgets.

Apple's lips are sealed about its widely rumored tablet computer, but technology experts are giddy about the device, already exclaiming it will be the gadget to end all gadgets.

Stuff that doesn't exist is so, so cool. You can project absolutely anything you want on to it and reality doesn't care one wit. Of course, most reasonable human beings don't care either.

This is about as amazing as "one million apps" for iphone....­it's an interesting headline but who cares?

Apple isn't the messiah so many apple fiends make it out to be, it's been around longer than microsoft, almost 30 years, and somehow has less than 5% of the computer market worldwide.­... Yep sounds like the most brilliant software ever invented, the numbers prove it.

When Apple relents on its dictatorial control over applications, I might consider checking them out.

I have an iPhone and I believe it. I hold more computing power in my hands than our first pc we bought in the early 90's for 2000 dollars..t­his phone revolutionized cell phones.

I wouldn't say that it revolutionized cell phones. It had a popular brand behind it and people just ate it up. The app store I can give to them, but everything else I am not so sure.
