" Parents who suspect their child has a food allergy should first talk with the child's primary care physician about symptoms. The problem could be a food intolerance rather than an allergy, she said, but the child might need to be tested by an allergy specialist to get a definitive diagnosis."

More general non -emergency symptoms such as bloating, belching, nausea, fatique and persistent low-grade skin, respiratory and digestive problems could be caused by a food intolerance; these should be tested for by IgG. In IgG food intoterance, reactions can happened 7-21 days after eating the problematic food.
