This is why we need single payer HR 676. Even if HR 676 is not passed support single payer at the state level. States should have the right to decide which healthcare system they can enact.

Let the blue states have single payer and let the red states have what they have now.

The drug companies need more money to pay those thousands of drug salesmen who "educate" your doctor while you're cooling your heels in the waiting room. Oh, and those tv ads telling you to beg your doc for a particular drug don't come cheap, either. Oh, and the lobbying ...

In a significant reversal, the American Medical Association on November 10 acknowledged the medical value of marijuana and called for the U.S. government to reconsider marijuana's current classification as a Schedule I substance (drugs that the government says have "no currently accepted medical use").

However, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) still claims on its website that, "The American Medical Association recommends that marijuana remain a Schedule I controlled substance."

Please use the form below to send a message to Attorney General Eric Holder and the Department of Justice, asking them to correct this misinformation on a government website.

Is it time for DOJ to investigate for price fixing and collusion?

Americans are being sold down the river bigtime by these criminal corporations that are doing whatever they can - legal and illegal - to rake in as much money as possible. Big Pharma is killing our economy and destroying whatever remains of the American Dream. We should be ripping these people out of their offices and putting them on trial in the middle of the street. Oh, and they've also trashed the reputation of capitalism - does anyone believe a corporation's advertising anymore? Does anyone believe the "consultation" with corporate salespeople? Do you think your bank cares about you anymore?

Maybe next time we elect a tough guy president who rips the public teat from the sucking lips of these greedy corporate thugs that run and ruin our country. Maybe next time we throw out the members of congress who ignore people and work hard for corporations.Maybe next time our news outlets will not lie, decieve and misdirect attention from the facts and issues that rule our lives.

Yeah like we thought we were doing when we elected President Obama, who btw took 19 million from the medical industry for his campaign. His promise to clean up corruption is the same as all the others that we elect. He lied!

It's the BIG PHARMA double cross and speaking with forked tongues. I just wish Obama would get mad about the american people being mugged by big business on a daily basis. They are doing to us, what the banksters did with credit card reform. The congress gave the banks "time" to adopt systems to adjust t the new regs. and of course we know what they did. They jacked up all the credit card interest rates before the regs go into effect. It is one thing for the lobbyists to have a seat at the table, it is another for them to take up all the seats and lie, and lie and lie. When does the congress get mad, mad, mad??? I am getting impatient with all their patience. One thing at least Sen Harkin says on health care reform, that the dems will do whatever it takes to get it done. Let the repugs filibuster, but they will have to stay on the floor, 24 hours a day, or the dems will move for a vote. Good for Harkin.

I voted for President Obama for change but we are not getting change. We are getting more of the same. The same people in the Pentagon pushing the same wars. The same people in the Banking industry ie., The Fed, SEC etc. In all the Government positions that count we have the same people who served under Bush for eight years. How can things change. Congress hasn't changed they still answer to lobbyist and gobble up bribes to pass whatever bills corporate america wants. We have been lied to and have had the wool pulled over our eyes, again. Is it time for the revolution yet?

The change has begun, but it is still not over. Obama sets the agenda, It is up to congress to get done what he has invisioned.

It can't be done if you got opposition with in your own party. Now is the time to rethink who you want in the senate. that is where the true power lies.

President Obama is the figure head, the senate is where you really make things happen. Don't like the changes you got so far, CHANGE THE SENATE, vote the bums out or you will get more of the same.

OPECs got nothing on these crooks. I say bring them down. To hell_ with this mythical fantasy that if we politely turn over all our money to them some day they just might 'cure cancer.' I'm not buying it.

Is that why we worked all our lives to service the comforts of our new masters, the medical aristocracy?

No, it is not even close to being time for a revolution. We have the tools to change who owns our government. It is time for campaign finance reform i.e. publicly financed elections. Our elected officials kowtow to whoever can facilitate the winning of an election and right now that is the highest bidder. We need to be the highest bidder. Us the people. Us the voters.

When the whole government is corrupted how do you get finance reform? They are the ones that makes the laws and they are not going to change anything that will take money out of their pockets.
