the faucet will not seem silly to any of the germophobe­s out there.....­almost zero chance of cross contaminat­ion.

The Smoke Alarm Silencer is probably most the dangerous idea of the bunch. It doesn't make any sense. If you are cooking in a manner that sets of an alarm, you're doing something wrong. Get carry-out!

Good suggestion for evaporator­. I thought that was the best. Isn't it just as easy to touch the faucet handle with your wrist?
