Just to get this out of the way, since the teabaggers have apparently re-discovered my site and in response to the previous Palin post have begun bombarding me with letters of the "Yeah, but Obama..." genus:

Is the media out to get Sarah Palin? It seems like most of the letters I get are insisting that I admit it. "Surely you can't deny," writes one woman from Florida, "that no political figure in American history has had to put up with what Sarah Palin has had to put up with from the mainstream media."

It needs to be said that 'the media' isn't as powerful and its enemies think. The media narrative was supposed to be that Hillary Clinton won the primary. The voters and the Barack Obama campaign took control and substitute­d their own ending.

What she seems to forget, or ignore, is that there is a photo or voice record of nearly every word she has spoken since she came into the spotlight. To say she is being mauled by the press would be accurate, however, her own words have brought this on her. She is so far right she scares most of the country, but not because she may end up Pres. one day. Most of us, including the libs and the rethugs, tend to shy away from things really extreme. She will end up with her own talking points, spoken to a small group of totally dangerous people, and that is what we fear.

It's noteworthy that Palin's Facebook page is full of comments calling for the death of our President, sedition, and overthrowi­ng of the Obama administra­tion as being God's will.

She's also the defacto leader of the Tea Party Movement, to be officially crowned as such by them this February.

What a great article. Loved it from beginning to end.
Knew I wasn't crazy when I said the media had purposely done away with Howard Dean a few years back, but for a while I actually wondered if I was the only one that had noticed exactly how it was done.
How refreshing to hear a reporter speak so frankly. Fact-based humor is always the funniest kind, no?
