Zebras at waterholes in Etosha National Park, Namibia are a frequent sight. Dozens walk to the water in an orderly fashion, quietly drink their fill and depart as if to a silent marching tune.
Here, something frightened the herd, resulting in a frenzied exit of animals in many directions.
For an instant, this zebra looked totally disoriented, before it too took flight.
It remained "as if frozen" for perhaps 3 seconds - just enough time to capture five images. Then it was no more.
