Washington Post: 9,000 Troops Will Deploy To Afghanistan Soon After Obama's Speech

KABUL -- Days after President Obama outlines his new war strategy in a speech Tuesday, as many as 9,000 Marines will begin deploying to southern Afghanistan to renew an assault on a Taliban stronghold that stalled earlier this year amid a troop shortage and political pressure from the Afghan government, senior U.S. officials said.

It seems to me like the U.S. mission in Afghanistan requires a force of religious missionaries instead of military troops. Now is the time to bring the National Guard and all forces home and call out the Faith Based Initiatives!

Why start wars when the country consistently loses so much more than it gains?
Why go into countries when we know that so many will maimed or killed in the process?

Through it all the profiteers have maintained non-compete bid profits without much thought of how the final outcome will be. Profits before people. Profits. Profits. Profits.

Corporate profits! No such thing for our country as a whole! And, not for the soldiers!

Majorities of the public in opinion polls in all the major countries with troops in Afghanistan not only oppose the surge, they oppose the war entirely.

Only Congress (and the people they should be representing) can get us out of Afghanistan and Iraq. As we ponder the future, consider demanding democratic governence... Obama is not KING, and must face the prospect of executing his power as dictator of, by and for the greedy profits of the New World Order's appetite. Obama denies the truth of basic human needs and compassion and places lies above that truth!
