Stimulus

ThinkProgress:

Rep. Bill Shuster (R-PA) is a vocal opponent of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act who not only voted against the stimulus, but goes out of his way to mock it as "going nowhere" and doing "nothing to encourage growth." Using the "failed" stimulus as his evidence, Shuster has been claiming that the government is incapable of reforming healthcare. But while Shuster tries to gain political points by bashing the stimulus, he has been quietly claiming credit for its benefits in his district, as well as advocating for an expanded role for Recovery Act money in his community:

Like all neocons, Rep. Shyster considers his flip-flopping a GOP resume builder.

Don't give Florida's Rep. John Mica a pass either. He's still touting the stimulus funds for bridges THAT DON'T NEED REPAIRED in his district - and, of course, he voted against it and blasts President Obama any chance he gets.

Do you know who this guy is? He's the son of Bud Shuster, who managed to bring his district I-99. To my knowledge (admittedly imperfect) the only interstate NOT to run between at least two states! It's known as the Bud Shuster Memorial Highway. MOoe proof that, while the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, neither does the sap!

Well he is just another Republican hypocrite who try to blame Obama, vote no on everything, take credit for the good things a Democrat does and take taxpayer salaries to tell their constituents private health insurance is best when they won't cancel their own government care to buy private themselves. They vote no on healthcare supposedly due to the abortion issue when the RNC pays for insurance that covers abortion. HYPOCRITES.

As a resident of the State of Pennsylvania (who did not vote for Shuster) I would like to publicly apologize for this man's stupidity and bipolar politics. In spite of the fact that the state went Democrat in the national election, most of the geographic state is very Republican. I am afraid we have not seen the last of guys like this.

Why is it that the Repubs that all voted against the stimulus seem to be the ones that know best how to spend it? It's not just Shuster, it's the biggest majority of them.
