Natalie Portman On Getting Drunk, Smoking Pot

Natalie Portman, everywhere now thanks to the release of her new film "Brothers," is also in the new issue of Marie Claire. A condensed version of the interview is online, and at the very end the Harvard grad explains how sheltered her life has been since she's worked from a young age.

She argues she was a late social bloomer because of her work:

"OK, so I didn't really go to high school parties," she says, "and yeah, I didn't touch pot till I was in my 20s. I didn't get flat-out drunk until I went to college. But I think that's a good thing in many ways."

Portman also explains how "Brothers" costar made it easier for the vegetarian to be vegan.

Tobey Maguire brought his own vegan chef to the set. "I was like, 'Um, could you make two of those?'" She grins. "And I'd make a cute face, and they'd roll their eyes and give me another falafel."

Portman also wrote of her veganism for Huffington Post, read it here.
