I thought he said he'd stop making documentary movies if people didn't start a revolution for him?

Ironic, Moore is promoting a movie that's anti-capitalism to a bunch of people... in order to make money from the people going to see it. Forgive me, but that's one of many examples of what capitalism is!!! Make a product or service and sell it. It's called "irony", Mr. Moore.

Now do people understand why Mike's credibility is closing in on the level as Rush Limbaugh's? (rock bottom) All he does is rile up people for money and calls them "my friends" while doing so. And he hasn't been fed to the lions yet, either. (probably feasting alongside of them... never mind the purported law of "supply and demand"; most people say the same shtick as those guys, and often before they do... )

Now, corporate capitalism (by, of, and for the large corporation) is bad. Nobody can begin to properly compete if the big ones hold all the strings. Some say "the world is flat". It's slanted and not in the favor of small businesses...

Does he mean stay skinny?

That dark side of Capitalism has made Moore a rich man, what a hypocrite!

It becomes a real hypocrisy as he goes around the world encouraging people to watch it. He uses many principles of "the relationship era" (business/economic parlance). Anybody in business school will see right through him as they do through Limbaugh. Both of them have one thing in common, by addressing their respective loyal fanbase groups as "my friends". Really. Where's that bridge he's selling?

Can one really be in the system in order to work against it? I am not convinced.

Maybe when Moore stops hawking his flick and actually leads the revolt he wants others to do for him will he gain ANY credibility.

Although sometimes Moore makes a valid point, it's often lost in his ever present rage.

Glad you posted the Presstv site. It is one of the very few tv websites that offers truthful news backed up by sources. Thanks.

HEY MIKE TRY TO BE NICE

It's perfectly find to visit Japan as a Sumo Wrestler. Don't worry Mikey, nobody wants to be like you. Put down the twinkies, please.

Let's stick to the issues, NOT poking cheap, unfunny jibes. How do you know his diet is composed solely of twinkies? There are MANY reasons one gains weight and not all of them due to eating wrong or not exercising. Thyroid conditions, diabetes, antidepressants, other drugs that keep other issues at bay, et cetera, et cetera... nothing is ever so one-sided. Even I with my brash persona have to admit that and I'm wrong plenty of times - and freely admit as much.

There is a big difference in cooperates vision between Japan and US. The unltimate vision in Japan is to gain the trust and acceptance of the people through harmony with the people and environment. While in the US it is always about the best, highest and strongest. Capitalism in any country will be the same capitalism with the ugly side effects.
Japan with limited flat land and resources need to work tirelessly to survive. They will always need to import their raw materials. It is remarkable that they can be self sufficient in rice despite being hill locked. The cost of living there is high and stressful.

A True Capitalist.
Promoting his movie in Japan. Everyone knows that he's making money with that film.

Well, everyone has a right to make money, right?

Seafood critters are high in cholesterol.

And please call them "vegetables". Everybody calls them "veggies" and having observed the English language being condensed into something Orwell would be 0rgasmic about for one of his dystopic emo novels...

Moore is a dolt calling Japan a former shining example of capitalism. Somehow, routine 60-70 hour six day work weeks, discrimination against Korean-Japanese and Burakumin in the workplace, corporations organized into economic cartels, newspapers that are largely in the pockets of, or are owned by, those conglomerations and rampant sex trafficking of Filipinas and Thai women, Japan is no example for human or worker rights.

And that is before you get to its economy having tanked in the wake of rampant real estate speculation 15 years before it happened in the U.S.

This is sadly reminiscent of Reagan being bribed with $2 million and calling Japan a moral beacon when it produces some of the most disturbing porno in the world and its courts don't take rape seriously.

in Japan Michael Moore would be fined out the wazzoo for being so obese
07:42 PM on 12/03/2009
why are people so focused on his weight? only skinny people deserve our attention with regard to these economic issues?
09:37 PM on 12/03/2009

We have a lot of good things to offer, but corporate capitalism is not one of them.
05:21 PM on 12/03/2009
"The dark side of capitalism" is not a phrase I've heard before. There's a dark side to everything and this last financial fiasco proves his point.

A good place to go for some Zen - keep chuckling Michael.
