Olbermann Names "Fox & Friends" 'Worst Persons In The World' (VIDEO)

Fox And Friends

Keith Olbermann named the hosts of Fox News' morning show, "Fox & Friends," his "Worst Persons in the World" Thursday — with co-host Gretchen Carlson getting a special individual double-billing as the second-worst person in the world.

Carlson received "Worse" honors for her interview with Derek Jeter, in which she failed to disclose that her husband is his agent.

"How much money she and her family has is largely dependent on people thinking Jeter... I don't know, what would you call it? The last pure athlete or he does everything right or he's perfect," Olbermann said. "Second biggest conflict of interest imaginable and she never mentions it."

Carlson and her co-hosts, Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade, were named "Worst" for a "Fox & Friends" segment featuring a Jon Stewart clip taken out of context to malign Al Gore.

"And today, as part of their made-up story they call 'Climategate,' they had a scoop," Olbermann said of the co-hosts. "Jon Stewart was denying global warming. 'Extraordinarily,' Doocy said, 'take a look at this, Jon Stewart of "The Daily Show" which has historically bashed Republicans, and you know, not bashed Democrats, really took a shot at Al Gore. Look at this.'"

Olbermann showed that they took Stewart's clip out of context, ignoring the portion where he said, "Now, does it disprove global warming? No, of course not."

"So, Fox, which has twice showed the wrong video to make it seem like a poorly attended event that had drawn a much larger crowd, attributed this to on-screen errors, no doubt, this example of using a tenth of the Jon Stewart sound bite, completely out of context, this was made by an office assistant or a temp or possibly some homeless person who wandered into the control room and took over the show," he said. "Couldn't possibly be another example of Rupert Murdoch's moral sellouts completing journalistic three-card Monty to advance a fraudulent political agenda. Of course not. Just the fault of Carlson, Doocy, and Kilmeade. But, even if they're just the paid to play patsies, they're still today's 'Worst Persons in the World.'"

I understand Mr. Keith has a misshapen lower body, I've noticed they never show him below the 3rd button on his shirt. Is it medical problems or just cosmetic, I believe it's just cosmetic, I hope so as I'd hate to see anyone sick, and most likely the spare tire but super size. Anybody else notice the efforts to hide his body?

Olbermann appears in full view when he appears on The Soup if you're looking to check.

As Mr. Stewart has so often stated, so often in fact he has probably said it more than a hundred times, the Daily Show is FAKE NEWS. For FOX to use anything from the Daily Show in a real news story is both desperate and pathetic. Unless, could it be, FOX is also FAKE?

There is definitely a "Fox agenda"; reduce the USA to third world status.

How did you come up with that? I only know of one group trying to do that, the guy that bows all the time heads them up.

Fox is to TV journalism what the

National Enqui.rer is to print journalism.

Well more people get their news there than anywhere else so they may be doing something right

While it is obvious that John Stewart is left biased, I have seen him take Dems to task.

See, comedy only works when there is at least an element of truth...

Opinion, well, truth doesn't matter so much there as long as you are dealing with the ign0rant.
12:37 PM on 12/07/2009
I've never thought of him as biased at all. Just honest. I guess there are so few honest people left in the world no one can recognize it for what it is.

Don't get me wrong...

Yes, he's quite biased, and he freely admits to it, but "biased" has become a much uglier word than it should because some broadcasts claim to be "unbiased" , one naturally thinks 'biased' is the opposite, but they are more "activist journalism/party propaganda" ...which "biased" doesn't even come close to describing...

His bias isn't that bad; there maybe comedic exaggeration, but the facts of the story are almost always sound, and with his left slant, his interviews with right wing guests are some of the most intellectual debates these people ever get into. He allows his guests to talk, and he feels free to engage them with his view point, usually with facts to back him up, and the exchange frequently has a tete-a-tete candidness... few "real journalists" do that.

But his left-wing guests' interviews generally are a bit softer... In some cases he's glowing and fawning. However, I have seen him back a few of them into a corner and debate against their positions, but in some cases _not always_ it's for an even more left position.

If you are a fox viewer you should see this video especially if you have young children.

http://ceasespin.org/ceasespin_blog/ceasespin_blogger_files/fox_news_gets_okay_to_misinform_public.html

Fox went to court to assert their constitutional right to deliberately lie to it's views. About what? Fox was covering up for Monsanto putting dangerous chemicals into milk that could cause cancer in children.

More like 800,000. Granted he doesn't have clusterfox's ratings but he still has his integrity and backs everything up with facts, you know facts, something that faux doesn't represent.

The saddest part? They took this story from some dimwit writer at NewsBusters and ran with it. Yeah, NEWSBUSTERS! These goobers are putting on a national cable "news" station morning show, stories from the "riders of the shortbus" at NewsBusters! Bwahahahahahahahahaha!
11:44 AM on 12/07/2009
How is it surprising?

Organizations like NewsBusters are basically online versions of Fox News anyway.

Everyone knows FarceNews is a joke. Unethical, Uncivilized Savages and Crooks.

Anyone who takes FarceNews seriously needs mental help.

Big surprise here about Fox News. Come on. It's the same folks who consistently "mistakenly" label Republicans that screw up by putting a D in front of their state like Sanford and Foley among others. We mislabel, you "decide."

I saw the Stewart clip and they attempted to lift it for their own purposes. That is the MO of propaganda. And it was slick of them to do it before Stewart had a chance to respond. Nothing new there for the Pox ppl.

A comedy routine is Fox's news source to prove global warming is a hoax?
Now that's a joke!!

A comedy routine which provides better news coverage than their network does.
