Good for Austria! Nations need to protect their traditions rather than turn themselves into US replicas

Either way, it conditions young minds to believe in magic...like religion.

They also say yes to the "Grampuslauf" and the "Percht". Freaky alien monsters who run through the towns whipping people to remind them of the dangers of the evil spirits who lurk in the winter forests....

Austria is a WEIRD country at christmas.

I agree with the Austrians. If you take away your ethnic traditions, and replace them with American ones, you cease to have a country with a soul. Who would want to visit other countries if they were just American wannabees and copy cats. This would be ridiculous. I travel for the customs, culture, education, costumes, food etc.. When I travel, I refuse to enter into American establishments.

This has nothing to do with America (other than the coca cola angle) Santa Claus is Dutch, and traditional xmas imagery, as used in the US today comes straight from Europe. I believe the US added The Grinch.

How do they feel about Hannukah Harry?

Oh, I forget. It's Austria.

Yes lets add them to the list of Anti Semites:

So we have:

All Austrians and Germans
"The UN" (presumably all 300+ member states)
Greenpeace
The BBC
Human Rights Watch
The International committee of the Red Cross
Judge Goldstone (who is Jewish)

Probably easier to list those who are not "anti-semites"

1. Those Israelis who wholeheartedly support the Occupation
2. AIPAC and their supporters.
