UPDATE 2:16PM ET: Google has reportedly also struck deals with Facebook and MySpace for their new real-time search feature. Mashable reports:

Google's announced that they've inked partnerships with both Facebook and MySpace to pull in data in real-time. For Facebook, that means public Facebook Pages, and for MySpace, it means any stream data that is publicly available. This is on top of the partnership that the company announced with Twitter back in October.

I'm a Google/Gmail fan, but I despise Twitter and would rather not use a service that streams Tweets as 'breaking news'.

I saw a segment on Google Goggles on MSNBC the other night. At the time that originally aired, there was a lot more work needed for Goggles. The need more images in their database. Imagine the database cataloging and storage needed for all those images.

I'm reading "The singularity is near: when humans transcend biology" By Ray Kurzweil.

This is definetly one of those bend of the arm moments he talks about. It's all exponential growth from here in Search technology.....

I'm sorry, but nothing is better than Bing's Travel Technology....

I hate to say this but Microsoft got it right with Bing. I've already made the switch.

I also don't see how this will generate money for Google. Also, what does a 50-year-old looking for his nearest eye doctor care about people's tweets from there? "Wow, the chairs are really comfy and the receptionist is a hottie".

Actually it would be more like "chairs comftbl. girl at desk iz hawt" Since no one really speaks/texts proper English. It'll be a cavalcade of 16-somethings tweeting crap about crap. Way to go Google.

I can hardly wait for the day when people real-time google questions they used to just simply ask their spouse, like "where are my car keys?" "Do these pants make me look fat?" or "Should I stop for milk on the way home from work?"

Tiger's wife will of course use it to ask 'has anyone seen my husband?'

LOL! To which a chorus of women respond "Yes, I sure have!"

This is not good news for those searching for information. All this stands to deliver is tweet level information that is unfounded, unsearchable and not credible. All I can say is ugly people will be using this to spread some really nasty rumors about the things we care about. Good job Google. You've officially jumped the shark.

Big deal. Who cares. I don't want to know whats going. Good for the social set who have no money but lots of time on their hands.
