Julia & Emma Roberts Play Charades (PHOTOS)

Julia Roberts and her niece Emma looked like sisters Monday night at the LAByrinth Theater Company's 7th Annual Gala Benefit in NYC.

Julia just finished shooting 'Eat, Pray, Love,' the film adaptation of Elizabeth Gilbert's novel, and Emma can be seen in 'Hotel for Dogs.'

The two Roberts beauties costar for the first time in 'Valentine's Day,' out in February.

Let's get this out of the way...no. They don't look like sisters.
The only reason they do look alike is that their relatives and have possibly the same hair stylists. The similar dye-jobs is no coincidence, I'm sure. Neither was the makeup choices.

Geezus I hope not. Julia roberts' ego is is enormous. She sucks the life out of every situation she can. I can picture her turning up at someone's funeral wanting to talk about herself.

Can't wait to see how Emma does in her next movie (Not Valentines Day) it's a brit crime / thriller flick by Noel Clarke (the writer of "Kidulthood" & "Adulthood" ) called "4.3.2.1". She's now doing more adult movies, so time will tell if she has any good acting ability... But I like how she looks! she's cute! ^_^

Um, no....

I always thought Julia had a range from A to B, and then there's that everpresent horse laugh. Ugh. But, and I mean this, I think she's a genuine person, and much more down to Earth than many of her colleagues. Of course, she sure kissed a lot of frogs on the way....

Julia Roberts is a decent actress, perhaps not a Shakespearean actress or even a Meryl Streep, but quite capable and had definite screen presence in her early work. The ability to be likeable onscreen and be a profitable movie star/ box office pull should not be under-estimated. I don't really think she has ever traded on her looks per se as suggested in earlier comments, she has rather traded in on her profile and tried to combine rom-com popcorn fare with more challenging work.

Too early to tell with her niece. Wild Child was a truly awful film and I would suggest she doesn't show the promise of say a Lindsay Lohan at that age, but time will tell, it is early days for Emma Roberts.

I always liked Eric Roberts more than his sister, i never really understood his sisters popularity. i just figured during the time she was getting big that there was a drought is young simi-attractive female leads.

They do resemble each other. In a good way, I think they're both attractive. I can take or leave Julia Roberts. I thought she was good in Closer, and I think that's about it. I adored Emma Roberts in the Nancy Drew movie.

I can't believe she's got the role in Eat Pray Love. I loved that book!... that is a horrible casting. I find her obnoxious and with such a huge ego. She lackss the vulnerability to play that part.

And I remember her comment to "baton man" at the Oscars and that she wanted her kids to go play at the White House with the Obama girls. And her moral values? PASS!

BTW - I don't see a resemblance except for the hair.

I have never liked Julia Robeerts, and a lot of that is from seeing her on talk shows as 'herself'. Emma is a thousand times prettier than 'Pretty Woman', but I wonder if her personality would also torpedo her ship.
