Hotline:

RNC chair Michael Steele said in a memo released Thursday that GOPers should do everything they can to stop health care, arguing that position is in line with public opinion.

"I urge everyone to spend every bit of capital and energy you have to stop this health care reform. The Democrats have accused us of trying to delay, stall, slow down, and stop this bill. They are right. We do want to delay, stall, slow down, and ultimately stop them from experimenting on our nation's health care," Steele wrote in the memo. "And guess what, so do a majority of Americans."

The GOP wants to delay, but they have NO POWER to stop any dang thing the Dems wish to pass NONE.

Why don;t the rest of the GOP come right out along with Steele and say that they want to obstruct any healthcare reform legislation? (could they be afraid of the reaction?)

Not matter how many times they lie, polls continue to show Americans support the public option and healthcare reform in general. The GOP has officially divorced themselves from the truth!

The last poll from Rueters showed that 59.9 percent support the public option....

If it were the Senate....guess what.....it would not pass......

Funny how the Republicans always state that the the Public Option is unpopular regardless of the fact that EVERY reputable poll ranges from 58% to 78% in favor ! Leads me to believe that they have, being very conservative, have resorted to forecasting the future on the entrails of ducks!

I am at a loss, how can a party that has been in the Presidency more often than the Democrats from the 50's to the present become so out of touch with reality. I am from Arizona and am a product of a mixed marriage ( my wife is a registered Republican) so was graced by a robo call from McCain. He (it) also stated that the American Citizens don't want public health! Obama said he would call them out when they lie, right! Well Obama they are!

Doesn't it tell you something about the Republican party when the elected HEAD of said party has absolutely zero influence within it? Or that none of the representatives in Congress listen to him at all? And that EVERYTHING he says immediately gets forgotten by most Republicans? (Hip hop urban message, anyone?)

I somewhat feel bad for PuppetMcConservenstein, but he DID join he GOP.

Did'nt feel sorry for him when he lost to Ben Cardin in the Maryland Senate race.

Nancy Pelosi and John Kerry may be related. They were for it before they were against it.

I'll explain. Pelosi on Public Option. Kerry on the War.

The recent poll where Republican voters were asked who they'll vote for in 2010, Republicans came in THIRD.
Democrats are their first choice followed by the Tea Party.

So beat it, or I'll tell Stormfront and David Duke where you hide at night.

That won't matter the tea party are purging Republicans, they will even vote Democrat to purge the Republicans who don't pass their PURITY test.

So look for a very very tiny Republican Party after 2010. BTW any Tea Party members of Congress will have ZERO chairmanships of placements on powerful Congressional committees, they will be absolutely USELESS chair fillers. Remaining Republicans won't trust them, any farther than they could throw them.
