Wouldn't it be wonderful if we would build 30,000 schools in Afghanistan instead of sending 30,000 troops. It would be cheaper and more long lasting. We could do that and still have money left over to protect the schools for a while and help with textbooks and teachers' pay. Maybe even 10,000 schools would do it, and then if we did have to have some military presence, we'd still be able to afford that.
