The Boeing 787 Dreamliner is set to take off at last, nearly two and a half years later than originally hoped.

The scheduled test flight is set for Tuesday at 10 a.m. Pacific Time. The Dreamliner is expected to take off from Everett, Washington, undergo a five-hour flight, and land in Boeing Field south of downtown Seattle.

Composed with a lightweight design, the Boeing 787 is made of carbon and titanium. It is believed to help reduce fuel consumption and save on maintenance costs.
