QUANTICO, Va. — First lady Michelle Obama is appealing for donations of toys for older children for the Marine Corps Reserve's Toys for Tots program.
The program helps make sure needy children have something to unwrap on Christmas morning.
Mrs. Obama traveled to a Toys for Tots warehouse near the Marine Corps Base in Quantico, Va., on Wednesday to deliver some of the more than 500 toys collected during a White House drive.
The first lady was told about an abundance of toys for younger children. She asked the public to think about needy older children when shopping for toys to donate.
