That's just great. I let my COBRA coverage lapse. Couldn't do it. So, now I am totally fucked_.

I hope rhey hurry it up. I have a chronic condition that keeps me from getting ANY private insurance. If I give up my COBRA, no matter what the cost, I'm doomed..

The jerks that came up with COBRA are the same ones that came up with mandating 30 million new subscriber­s that criminaliz­es anyone who doesn't pay COBRA premiums, now called health care reform.

I'm on this program. It's essentiall­y a federal payout to health insurers to keep ppl like me on their rolls. I was planning to tell BCBS sayonara as soon as the rate went up or I got a job (good luck?!). This is a band aid and then some feeding the same system.

That's all well & good but if your company went bust then you've got nothing anyway.
