First Posted: 03/18/10 06:12 AM ET Updated: 05/25/11 04:00 PM ET

The Sarkozys celebrated an early-Christmas at the Elysee Palace last week with a party full of presents, children, a fully-trimmed sapin de Nöel...and some PDA! There was a waist-hold, a chin-stroke, and plenty of holiday amour to go around.

Take a look at these seasonal snapshots:

Sarkozy looks like il s'emmerde! lol What no fits that hes a head of state with better things to do? They're trying to imitate royalty in Europe, not sure about Obamas. Sarko as a matter of fact is orchestrating a coup d'etat on Monaco behind the scenes by entrapping officials around the construction of the Odeon Tower. He's got his eye on a crown.

Is Carla Bruni a personal friend of yours? If not, why le coup d'intox? As we say in France regarding these two; beurk Beurk BEURK!
And by the way where is HER little lardon spending Christmas?

As you say, beurk beurk, not every one says that in France. It's politic, half of the people are pro the other half against.
No "coup d'intox" here. You know exactly that this Christmas isn't a personal one, but the yearly Elysee Christmas. Handicaped, poor, sick children are invited EVERY YEAR by the President. So the Elysee Palace employees's children. It was the same under Mitterand, Chirac and it will be the same after Sarkozy.
Her "little lardon" as you called so nicely a child, will for sure spend Christmas with her, but without pictures.

Muy mona, pero que esto de dedicarse a repartir regalos? este rollo populista me enferma...

poor little princecharmed sicked by this tradition "populist". In Spain you give presents for Christmas and the 6th of January. One time more than in the US or in France or Germany, or Italy.
You muss be very sick during this time.
BTW I am sure that your royal Family also exchanges presents at this time. Sick?

are they trying to compete against the Obamas white house? sista please....dont even try....that french tree looks like it was decorated by Hellen Keller...

I dont love this years decorations in the white house (its just my personal preference, Im not a huge gold fan, but I did love the gingerbread house though), but our decorations blow them out of the water!!!
even though im jewish/athiest and I celebrate christmas (I have 2, 7 foot christmas trees, and other various christmas decor) I really am proud about how as an america we really do go ALL out when we decorate for holidays, especially christmas.

I lived in england for 2 years and while they celebrated christmas, its nothing compared to having christmas in the USA. They throw some lights on their homes and people aww...in the US if you dont have at least 30,000 lights on your house, its nothing amazing....

Of course in the US everything is better, bigger... it's the reason the US are the biggest po.llu.ter on Earth. proud?
Their Christmas tree is the Elysee Palace's Christmas tree. It's the way the French Christmas trees look. Of course, they are not so gorgeous as the American Christmas trees...

What is a athiest?

I dont believe in a god, but I believe in sparkly trees and presents and any holiday that brings family and friends together and it gives me a reason to keep the house clean...
